Czech Inn Bed & Breakfast and Retreat — Hotel in Albert Lea

We wanted a get away and Czech Inn turned out to be one of the best places to go to get away from the hectic times. The home is lovely and the owners are especially welcoming.

The bed was so comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The surprise of our 2nd night was a high school classmate (and friend) of my wife's showing up totally unknowingly. We all had a great time visiting and laughing. Comments were it is so quiet. No city noises.

Resturants nearby: We can recommend one12 on Broadway (Albert Lea) for dinner (note: no grill or fryers). My baby back ribs were one of the best I have had and the baked puffed chicken pastry my wife had was also excellent. Also we can recommend Trumbles in Albert Lea- food was also excellent and my steak was perfect.

Our hosts also honored both me and the husband of my wife's friend for our veterans day!! Special napkins and table cloth for veterans day! What a special treat it was for all of us. Even us crusty old vets!

My wife also found a great quilting shop in town (Hayward, MN) to be a fun place to pick up a new project.

A wonderful evening at a beautiful place. We had traveled all day from Omaha and looked forward to an evening of rest. We found it here..The property was even more beautiful than the pictures of it. Clean as a pin with beautiful grounds and the rooms were perfect. The owners Katherine and Joe are delightful and we so enjoyed their conversation in the evening and at breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of fresh fruit and delicious eggs, potatoes, and cheese. Fresh ground coffee. My wife and I have been to all 50 states and have stayed in many B&B's..This is one of our top two. Good price, and you feel so at home...RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO CAN GET A CHANCE TO GET THERE! Fantastic Girl's Getaway!

Stayed at the lovely Czech Inn Bed and Breakfast and Retreat with my friends to scrap book. The innkeepers (Katherine and Joe) went above and beyond making sure we had everything needed for our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for preparing our meals. There was plenty of work space for scrap booking, and lots of fun.
