GENERAL: Id say that just under half the cabins are lived in full time. Pretty sketchy. I'll admit while we were there a large part of the RV park was flooded...lots and lots of rain. However I'm pretty sure the moon's surface is smoother then both the RV and the Hot Spring parking area. They have a grader that was inoperable, either fix it or get rid of it for something else. One of "the help" drove a late nineties early 2000 chevy with a muffler any 16 year old would be proud to own. He had a buddy on our side of RV park that had the same ride AND the same muffler. Neither appeared to walk anywhere and could be seen/heard driving back and forth throughout the park and accross the Hi-way all day and into the evening. Not sure why...it is a 2 minute walk.
BATHROOMS/SHOWERS/TRASH They are dirty, no other way to say it. The large Corona mirror used in the mens bathroom is a classy touch. I did not at any point see anyone clean anything. My wife said she observed someone picking up trash once in the women's bathroom. The cig butts in the men urinal remained there our two nights. If you are staying there you are better off showering at the hot spring facilities which a just a notch or 2 cleaner. The trash in every bin was near or at overflow when we arrived Friday night, we left Sunday morning and no trash removal had taken place...it was a gross mess.
HOT SPRINGS/POOL. The hot pool could be really nice. It is however a little dirty on the edges. Something an hour a week with a green pad could take care of. The swimming pool, same thing, a green pad would do wonders. Also, why not pull the weeds actively growing on the deck?
GENERAL POOL ISSUES: Sign as you walk into the hot pool says NO ONE UNDER 5. Right under it says NO ONE UNDER 4. Which is it? Didnt really matter there was a little girl with arm floats at most 3 years old. No one enforced that rule. I'm kind of a safety guy with a little pool/EMT history and noticed there is ZERO equipment if bad happens. There is no hook. There is no life ring and there is no backboard. While I was there a young lady got out of the Hot pool passed out and hit here head on the floor. Staff did not have a handle on it. I had my EMT crash bag and assisted until she left POV with local family/EMT. The worse part of it was the manager telling the patient that the 40 minutes she was in the hot pool was WAY TOO LONG. When asked where that is stated/posted (there is notices posted everywhere) it isn't. She said she tells everyone who buys a pass this information. Not true. Didnt tell me, my wife, my kid, the patients friend nor the patient. To 911s credit they did send life flight, they did land and they gave great care before taking back off. If something happens bad here don't expect a quality response. One worker did come over from the hotel area who seemed to have a good head on her shoulders but the rest did not.
It sucks to give such a poor reveiw on a place that could be so very cool with an organized staff and a lot of elbow grease. I don't want to stear folks away, hot springs are great, but this place...
Read moreThis lodge is not a part of the hot springs..this review is for the lodge. People are getting them confused. . I loved my stay here and can't wait to go back next summer. The check in was quick and easy. Owners are lovely, resident dog is such a good girl🐕❤ Loved being walked to my room, that has an actual key still😎. I got the family style room with a futon couch. T.V.( cable in the lobby),500 dvd and some games one can check out, free of charge, for their room. I loved that i had enough linens/towels for the reservation of 4. .from the start. The lodge and springs are deep in the woods. .there is NO reception for cell phone's etc. Even for locals that live around the area. The house phone is in the lobby and has courtesy long distance within the U.S. Breakfast is so good! Hot, fresh Belgium waffles, yogurt and granola, english muffins, peanut butter, jelly varieties. Strawberry syrup, maple syrup, cereal, milk ,juice, coffee. They offer 2 hot spring areas,(indoor) to their guest's only. It is VERY nice to not have to deal with the crowds or inclement weather like next door. It is indoor grotto style. They do offer coupons to the "other outdoor" springs. They look connected but aren't. Little shop for those items forgotten. Outdoor playground, trails around to explore, but this is deep in the woods..no maps. Just exploration . One should be knowledgeable about the mountain's, not just go in. Rooms are so comfortable, beds are amazing. I loved that the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker were in the walk in closet, vanity area.. it made the room spacious. There are fire/charcoal grills, picnic tables, chairs, benches etc around the property for our use. It is very accommodating and comfortable. I loved being deep in the mountains, but having a comfortable bed,heat,a.c. accommodations for myself and 2 young children. It is 10 miles south of Missoula to a TINY town Lolo, then another 30 miles west. This is NOT a town..anything you made need ,you'll want to grab in Missoula, or hope they have it in the few shops in Lolo. There is just the hot springs, restaurant and lodge or Inn here. There are 2 separate places for sleeping . .seperate owners etc. There is A LOT of wildlife,so watch the road for animals. Moose,Deer,Elk,Bear etc.. I can't wait to go back❤ THANK you for a...
Read moreI loved my stay at Lolo Hot Springs! We rented the economy bungalow #14 with a queen bed for a night which came with 2 tickets to the hot spring. The check-in process was slightly confusing only because there is a business located on the same property called "The Lodge" at Lolo Hot Springs so we went there first. After we realized we were supposed to check-in at the hot springs office itself the process was easy. We got our wristbands for the pools and our key to our cabin. Everyone we met, Sherrie at the hot springs office and Amanda at the bar/restaurant, were incredible and we honestly had the best time with them during our albeit short stay. ||The hot springs itself was so great, they have an indoor pool option which was hotter, and an outdoor pool. We were here in late September so the outdoor pool was only around 90 degrees, but it was a nice contrast from the very hot pool inside. ||The cabin met our needs, it was so cute, bed was comfy, fridge for any food or drinks you bring with you, a microwave, heater, and a little table. The public restroom/shower facilities are great, similar to a camp restroom but everything worked, and it had a code for privacy from any random people not staying there. For the price, it was really a steal!||This place is rustic there's no doubt about it, so if you go in with those expectations they will be met (or exceeded in our case!) This isn't a five star spa and we didn't want it to be. They expect you to unplug and relax while you're here which we definitely did. The staff onsite really make this place; friendly folks who aren't afraid to chat with a few out of towners looking for a fun experience outside Missoula. ||I 100% recommend Lolo Hot Springs Resort, and if I'm ever in this part of the country anytime soon I'll try to stay...
