Budget Inn — Hotel in Allegheny Township

Convenient location, but that’s the only good thing about this hotel, I just stayed here and it was disgusting. The corners of the room were covered in filth and stains, and when I walked in at first I was also able to see a bed stain. No bedbugs, but I sure did see different types of bugs running across the floor and into the cracks of the walls.

The way they have the electrical cords seat up is a fire hazard too, I have a picture of that and its the only outlet in the entire room. Other than a completely useless one on the ceiling for some reason I was able to take a picture of by the clothes hangers. Also wallpaper ripped, falling off the walls and ceiling as pictured in the bathroom ceiling, and writing on the bathroom wall.

Oh yeah, and to top it off, the owner originally told me on the phone that my stay would cost only $45, but when I got there it was suddenly $70. He also rudely hung up on me twice when I was trying to book, and barely spoke English too. Not sure what the good reviews are all about because I did not have a good time here at all.

I felt uncomfortable, unsafe, and wouldn’t stay here again. No idea how this hotel is getting a 3 star rating, I’ve been to way nicer places just as cheap. Stay here only if you literally have no where else to stay, room smelled nasty as well, very musty and like...

I booked four rooms and three of the rooms would have pet for two weeks. He gave me a weekly rate and a pet fee I thought it was alittle sketchy in the beginning because they really didn't ask for any info to book the rooms so I decided to call almost everyday to make sure we still had our rooms reserved.he kept telling me yes they are reserved. Well it came to the day I booked the rooms for and I was almost arriving at the hotel so I called them to tell them when I'd be arriving and they told me they had no rooms for me because they don't except pets .. now why would they let me call everyday and say yes there reserved with pets allowed at that time and then tell me when I was almost there that they don't have no rooms for me because we have pets . This is very unprofessional and I myself do not recommend reserving any rooms here unless you want this to happen...

An okay room good for a quick stopover. The price was lower than all the other places in the Altoona area and I didn't really need anything fancy. Very basic, no-frills rooms without any real amenities to speak of, besides a TV, microwave and fridge in the room. If your expectations are high, you might want to pick a different place to stay. Could have been a bit cleaner, but the bed and towels and shower stall were clean. Only real qualms was there was no top sheet on the bed just a questionable old comforter, and the Internet connection was pretty spotty. There seems to be several longer-term residents on the property, but it was completely quiet...
