The perfect place for gathering friends or family, to make the most special memories. We have visited Sleeping Bear Resort three separate times (across various seasons) and there will be many more to come. We have stayed in all lodging options - the Cabins, The Lodge, and the Bear's Den, and can vouch that each offer a stellar experience and ultimate comfort and cleanliness. The hosts and staff treat the property like their home, making guests feel truly at home. If you are looking to explore Northern Michigan, the resort is in a perfect location to visit the best cities (Traverse City, Glenn arbor, Frankfort), hit up many hiking attractions (Baldy Dune, Pyramid Point, Pierce Stocking, main sand dunes), ski at Crystal Mountain, or tube float on the plate river. There is so much fun stuff to do, it's impossible to name it all and there is never enough time to do it all. The town of Lake Ann also offer so much humble charm and fun to explore through the brewery, ice cream, and Red Door Coffee. Or, if you are looking to stay home and unwind, the resort offers the coziest atmosphere to relax and have your own fun. There is everything you need, it’s so well kept, and you will feel right at home. We can't recommend it enough here, and can't wait to...

Sleeping Bear Resort is a wonderful place to stay for your Sleeping Bear Dunes visit!!! As far as location, the resort is in the middle of everything. We were 15-25 minutes away from anywhere we wanted to go. Empire, the Dune, Glen Arbor, or Traverse City is a short drive away. If you are wanting a peaceful place to stay while you are visiting, this is the place to stay. SERENITY, is the best word I can think of to describe our stay at SBR. We ended every night with a fire in the fire pit and s’mores. This is the first vacation I have ever taken where we didn’t turn on the tv once. My son learned to paddle board, and the whole family enjoyed kayaking on the peaceful lake. It was so nice to just sit on the shade and enjoy the scenery in the peace and quiet. The cabins have been newly renovated and came equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The staff was super friendly and a text message away if you need anything. Nearby Lake Ann has a grocery store (a little pricey) but has a little bit of anything you could need if you’re not feeling up to driving to...

We stayed in Cabin No 1. When we arrived, it was a cold snowy night. The parking lot was plowed nicely and the walkway to the cabin was shoveled, making for easy unloading. Inside the cabin was cozy and warm. The Cabin had a couple nice thick throws to snuggle up to and enjoy the view of snow falling over the lake. The interior was exceptionally clean, and had all the modern conveniences. Bonus features: heated bathroom floor, cute Christmas tree for holiday spirit! To the owners, thank you for making our holiday stay extra special and for the cute wooden tree ornament! We’ll definitely be back as our daughter and her growing family live only a mile away. This cabin provided us a nice place to stay without adding crowd and stress to their house!

We stayed at Cabin #1 at Sleeping Bear Resort and it was truly a dream come true. The view—oh my god, the view! Absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped, and it was clear how much love and care go into maintaining the space. You can really feel the warmth of the people who take care of this place. The location was perfect—just 15 minutes from Moomers (a must-do for ice cream lovers!) and 25 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes, which we absolutely loved. The lake by the cabin offered peaceful, concentrated fun and relaxation for both us and the kids. This place has everything we hoped for and more. We’re already dreaming about coming back ❤️
