i’ve stayed here twice over the years - two completely different experiences i must say. the first time i enjoyed myself and all the weirdness of the room - the bathroom in general seemed as if it had been built with a dwarf in mind, and there was both a front and back door to the room, neither of which seemed to truly lock from the inside. my interaction with the owner was pleasant, he was friendly and intrigued by my bongos i was carrying around. the second time, a few years after, the owner acted flabbergasted that we wanted to rent for the whole night ((yes, that’s right boys and girls. this is one of those places you can rent by the hour!)). he didn’t seem too keen in general on the rental period really. the next morning, despite our telling him that we weren’t in need of housekeeping, he ignored us and barged in demanding towels. he then told us that we had a cat in the bathroom, which they have a no pet policy. in reality my uncle had come by and had gone into the bathroom to wash up a surgical wound on his arm from a nasty break he had to have worked on the week before. even after he came out of the bathroom, the owner insisted that we did, in fact, have a cat that we were hiding ((he musta been invisible bc he looked in the bathroom and saw no cat but kept on about it regardless)). i had just paid for another nights stay not an hour or so prior, but he told us he had changed his mind on letting us stay and we needed to leave and handed my money back to me, then stood there in the room staring as we packed up all our stuff ((which was everywhere bc it was morning time and we had planned on being there about another 24 hours or so basically)). it was...
Read moreIt is my current experience (as I am writing this from inside the room /broom closet I rented for the night. ) So far I felt that I was treated with disregard. Was told at first. No rooms as I went to get on my bike a lady run out after me and said it's just you? Yes ma'am I replied we have a room I go in pay fifty dollars and was given the key to what I believe is a janitors closet I'm guessing. I ask if they have wifi which it shows shows on my device not only the one for the office but one labeled as guest as well. was told No! No WiFi!! I hope they know that I am a guest not the new janitor dose have a human trafficking feel to the atmosphere. ) It's starting look like i paid. 50$ to stay in a janitors closet and sleep on what may well be a concrete picnic table. That is my experience as of 5/2/21 12:27am. I don't expect it to change. Do yourself a favor spend a few more bucks . Thought I better go ahead and write this review...
Read moreThis place has affordable rooms that are comfortable and clean. The owners are very friendly people who always try to make sure that we have everything that is needed. First day here I was at the vending machine trying to get drinks but the machine was refusing to take the dollars I had bc they were all crumpled up. The owner seen this through the window and came out and asked what drinks I wanted opened the drink machine gave me both of the drinks then proceeded to ask how I was and if the room was okay tried to pay him but he just refused. Honestly need more places with owners like this. So much more comfortable here then I would be at the red roof inn, holiday inn,...
