Anson Inn — Hotel in Anson

We pulled in as we felt sleepy and thought it a good idea to get some sleep instead of risking the late hour drive. We have 4 small children and our standards are pretty basic, all we want is a clean safe room. ||||This room was the very worst I have ever seen! It was absolutely filthy, not "we've been slammed recently, and haven't been able to get it all done." it was dirty like it hadn't been deep cleaned in years. My 7 year old son cried himself to sleep because he hated it so much and thought there probably would be bed bugs...I admit even I prayed I wouldn't get lice, or some other nasty bug.||||We decided we would just get the needed sleep and rush out as fast as we could. Sleep, ha! Every time we would fall asleep, the phone would start ringing but never an answer on the other line, litterally happened about 5 times.||||The heater worked well, but the thermostat did not, we were hot coldo hot cold all night. ||||To top it off, when the hotel manager asked how our stay was she argued against all our...

I THOUGHT it was clean when I first stepped in to room #20, but I was tired and my eyes were not working properly. I went in the bathroom, and found a 3 inch (across) spider waiting for me to wash his back for him! After I had showered I crawled in to the bed, that, as I lay down, the mattress asked me to run my hands through it's 3 inch long black hair. I was exhausted so I just tried to brush it aside and ignore my hairy sheets. I got up in the night and was awaiting another surprise when I used the toilet, but the only thing that was any sort of a "turn on" about that experience was the bed bug that went hopping off as I watched him bound off under the shower rug.
