Seagrass RV Resort is approximately a 5 min drive from downtown Rockport and about a 20 minute drive to Corpus Christi.
We were a party of two RV Airstream trailers (Airstream Bambi for 2 and an Airstream International for 3 of us) we reserved (for a minimal fee) locked sites 55 and 56. Both sites were spacious and well manicured/ maintained with turf grass. Both had a “Palapas” - Seagrass covered patio structure.. providing ample shade to enjoy the coastal breeze throughout the day and in to the evening. Definitely bring bug spray for mosquitoes in the evening hours! Also bring pool tubes to enjoy floating the lazy river pool which is open from 10am-9pm. Weekend days seemed busier but as an added bonus we felt like we had the pool and other site amenities (club room, dog park, indoor bathrooms) to ourselves through the week day! We arrived late Saturday and left Tuesday afternoon.
We understand that the resort is under new ownership/ management since late 2023… we found management to be first class! Late arrival was not an issue as Shannon communicated a plan for receiving parking pass and site map. We also worked with Michelle to extend a late checkout (1pm) for a minimal fee. This allowed for one last lunch feast on seafood in Rockport before beginning our travels away. Grounds, facilities and the amazing pool & lazy river with covered pavilion are impeccably kept… thank you so much! We will be back!
We visited with Shannon about the tiny houses that are available for rent with a two night minimum. This would be so fun for a quick couples getaway.. it was designed smart to maximize the space and it’s decorated perfectly! We are think of returning with parents who do not own an RV and we hope to rent the tiny house and preferably site 45 which is next door and includes a Palapas to gather outside.
I am attaching a few pictures of site 55, the tiny house next to site 45. I am also attaching site 53 which includes a table and chair/ covered outdoor bar underneath its Palapas.
We enjoyed shopping the downtown stores of Rockport, eating at The Groove and Apple Dumpling Deli! It’s not our first visit to Rockport.. fishing is incredible!.. and this visit we drove out through Capano Bay to see The Big Tree. We also spent a bit of time at Goose Island State Park ($5/person) it has covered areas to picnic and we walked the dock that extends about a quarter mile...

Read moreWe stayed in this park from 4/18 until 7/8. During that time we had eight different occasions where our pad was left under 6" of water due to rain (even a 30 minute downpour). The pads around us flooded and the street as well. They brought pumps in and installed on both sides of our pad (using our electricity) to drain the water to the pond. We had dead minnows on our pad after one incident. The smell of sewage is almost a daily occurrence. We were promised by (previous) owner that he was in the process of making repairs. But he was really working a deal to sell the park; which he did. New management is very rude and unprofessional. When we questioned her about what the plan was for the flooding, she stated they "had a call into the State" and turned her back on us and left the room. We moved out on 7/8/17. Management accused us of not returning an HDMI cable with the cable box. It did not come with one...we purchased our own. But had to give it to them in order to hopefully get our $110 deposit back. Then we were informed that we would not be receiving our $100 pad deposit back per the new manager. When we asked for a reason the person in office could not supply an answer. We did no damage and never received one complaint. When we originally moved into this park we had hoped it would be long term. But after not even 3 months and no repairs or even answers we chose to leave. One of the employees in the park even told us that things were going to get worse. I advise anyone that's considering this park to reconsider. I would have given more stars. But the new manager is enough to rate it at 1 and then take the flooding...
