Iron Mountain Lodge & Marina — Hotel in Arkadelphia

These units are convenient to the marina, but are not super clean for the price. Floors and corners were not very clean - cobb webs abound. We also killed a few brown recluse spiders, one on the couch which made us nervous. I reported that to management when we checked out, so maybe they can get the place fumigated. ||Not sure it was worth the price but ok overall. We chose this because the unit had a kitchen so we could cook meals instead of eating out, and there are not many options close to Lake DeGray with that amenity. ||The 2-BR unit was not bad overall, but could stand some updating and cleaning for the price.| |On another note, the pontoon boat that we rented for the day was great and in good condition. My husband tried a couple times in advance to reserve a particular tube, but was told that wasn't needed because there are "many". Ironically, when we got there the morning of our boat rental, the choice of tubes was limited because they were already taken. So he wasn't very happy about that.||In the end, we had a nice weekend there, and would probably go back to Iron Mt simply due to lack of options for units with a kitchen. We came in March 2017 during our spring break. The resort & marina is well maintained and only about 10-15 minutes from Arkadelphia where you can pick up food, get a bite to eat, etc. There weren't many travelers at the lodge during this off-season time, so we enjoyed the calm and relaxing environment. There is a trail to hike at the marina and my son and I hiked it every morning. There is also a little store that has souvenirs and a few groceries in a pinch. We rented both sides of a duplex and loved it!!! There were actually doors that opened between the two sides, so we could walk between the two sides and visit. The only negative to the doors would be if you only stayed in one side and had a noisy neighbor on the other side. The duplexes were comfortable, very clean, 3A&B had a great view of the lake, had a nice kitchen, and had a fireplace that they provided wood and starters. We really enjoyed using the fireplace and the hot tubs. We also enjoyed walking down to the water and fishing. What a great time at Degray Lake!!! Thanks so much for memories that will last...

My brothers and our families have been coming to Iron Mountain Resort for many years. The cabins are always well equipped and clean. There is very limited dining at the resort (no restaurant), so having a well equipped, clean kitchen and a barbeque are necessities. The cabins are very spacious. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom. Some of the cabins are adjoining with doors that can be opened to allow indoor access between the cabins. This is a great feature for large family gatherings. Most of the cabins are just steps away from the boat slips and the lake. The resort staff are very friendly and accommodating whenever possible. Boat slips are available to rent if you bring your own boat or you can rent jet skis, ski boats and pontoon boats from the resort. It is a great place for a family vacation. Oh yeah, the Lake is...
