This review is tricky to write, the hotel is clean and great location for the small town. I was traveling across the country, Google redirected me due to a road closure. High winds, high snow drifts, it put me on a dirt road, I hit a drift and got stuck (W/Haul on back) the fire department and local volunteers amazing!! The fire department told me all roads to my destination closed, told me of a hotel, I called, she called back, she wasn't at the hotel. The fire department guided me through the weather and to the hotel. Soup, crackers and water were available to us in the hotel, the town was shut down. Everything was done over the phone. The next day, I saw her, and I have my dog, when I say the lady was rude and disrespectful, it's an understatement. She told me I should've told her about my dog and she has 3 rooms separate for them. I apologize and told her I was in distress and wasn't thinking. (I have no problem paying for my dog, she never asked/mention the fee during our face to face conversation) after she was done disrespecting me, went to my room one last time (to leave tip, get my dog) and I can hear her talking about me LOUDLY and I was down the hall. I proceeded to leave. Two days later I received an additional charge from the hotel, I called, she said pet fee. I said I feel you used my card without permission, I was in front of you, talked about my dog, you could have said there's a fee and I would have paid, no problem, called me and said pet fee, I would have gave my card information and paid, no problem. The lady proceeded to YELL at me, I told her I wasn't thinking about my dog when she returned the call, I was getting dug out of snow/scared, by the fire department, she said to me, well if you don't think you have to report your dog, next time let's see if the fire department has to help save your life, your money will be refunded since you think you don't have to follow rules, and hung up. Her tone, the loudness was beyond unprofessional, she wanted to argue immediately, I had no problem with paying, I feel she took my credit card and used inappropriately, no call to me, nothing said when were face to face. Where I could hand her my card and approve it. If there was an incidental deposit and it was deducted from that, okay, understood, but to charge without giving knowledge, is not ok. I appreciate everything from the Fire department and the volunteers, several of us were redirected by Google and left stranded. It was refreshing to see the youth step forward and help out, restaurant next door is amazing and friendly staff!! When I was face to face talking to Holly, her tone, loudness and body language to me was uncalled for, she wanted to be dramatic and argumentative, I didn't, I walked away, the phone call was the same. She wasn't kind, no matter, the situation could have been handled better and...
Read moreWe got there Saturday at 7:30 in the evening with reservations. There was nobody there to meet us, the key to our Room was hidden in the lobby with a telephone call we found it. We left Monday morning about 10 o'clock, still we saw nobody else in the hotel or motel, no receptionist. The refrigerator was dirty. The top cover to the bed stank and was dirty and stained. The sheets had pubic hairs and hairs between the sheets and were stained. The pillows stink stank stunk. It was a good thing we brought our own. The heater in the window rumbled and roared all night long to keep the...
Read moreIf you're coming here after hours to try and check in, be warned, you'll have to call the number at the front desk to check in and get a room. I was likely more confused than I should have been given my sleep addled state when I showed up.
The check-In process was relatively easy and quick. The room was clean and if I'm entirely honest, the bedding was some of the softest I've ever slept on in a hotel room! All in all this was a great find while wandering...
