Clean and well-maintained campground and campsites. Only $12/ night. Hinged half-grate on fire pit. Water spigot conveniently located between our site and the next. Ample space for up to 3 vehicles or 1 and a trailer/camper (at most sites). Picnic table at each site. Trees and shrubs provided decent privacy between sites. Vault toilets within walking distance- not as clean as the ones at Brown Creek, but usable. We got lucky finding an open spot Saturday, Memorial Day weekend at 7pm. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again.
The "Full" sign looked to be posted (it was just kind of leaning up on the post next to gate) when we pulled up at 7pm on a Saturday. We had originally planned on taking our chances scouting NF Service roads for dispersed camping but we knew it was too late, so we decided to find a campground and mission the trails early morning. Already dark, it was at least a half hour to the next campground, and I just had a feeling that we would get lucky and there would be a spot for us. Not knowing our way around here, we drove past the first section of like 5 or 6 sites, past the boat launch and through the 2nd section of sites. No luck. We turned back to scope out the first section we had past and found the last remaining spot! Stoked. Set up as quick as possible, made dinner, ate and listened to the inebriated group of folks next to us then as everything quieted down, turned in for a good...
Read moreCute, small place. Bathrooms are pretty yucky. No light inside the bathroom. Small water area. Nice pier area. Small camping area but cannot bring grill or charcoal. Dry camping type place or trailor camping. I just went for the day but campers were there. Small area for boat launch. Fee's are reasonable. I went during the week so no one was there to collect the fee's or check to see if I had a pass. Not much of anything though. Plenty of other places near by that is much better. Gave it a 4 because of the bathrooms and no sink to wash hands. You have to bring...
Read moreGorgeous, well-maintained state park with amazing views along the Case Inlet. Boat launch with parking, nice campsites, plenty of picnic spots. Probably an amazing place to catch a sunset.
I don't believe they allow motorized watercraft to be launched here (see photos.) The part of the inlet looks pretty calm so I imagine it's a great place to kayak, canoe, etc.
There's a LARGE day-use picnic shelter that looks great for a weekend grill party.
Discover Pass (or similar) required. Ranger/Camp Host on site, at least in the...
