We had a okay stay here and we always go into a place with a very open mind and honest review. Stayed at site 289 with our 34 ft. travel trailer Pros: seasonal people are friendly, nice camp store, dump station is in a good location at back entrance, we had a nice view of the water from our site, nice spot by water to walk, easy access going the back way to get in and out of the place. Cons: We had a difficult time pulling into the site, as they had planted a tree right where you need to swing in to get into site 289. We ended up having to backup onto the beach road and maneuver in. Tons of seasonals, very loud on the weekends, music, golf carts, etc. Leaving we couldn't pull out of this pull thru site as there are seasonals directly infront of you and left is a dead end, right is a sharp hairpin turn and your swing would hit the camper next to you. This site really is not meant for a 34 ft camper plus truck and honestly should not be a pull thru unless you have a small popup, 10 -14 ft. tt or small class C. We had to have the people in the sites across the street behind us move trucks so we could back up between their campers to be able to get out. Luckily we are well seasoned in getting into and out of campsites, but for the newbie this site could be problematic. Paid for a cable, water, wifi site, no cable or wifi all week. 🤷... Our site had garbage on it and firepit when we arrived. Honestly, the best sites are probably the ones behind the arcade area, as they have alot more space to maneuver in and out. I don't think we would go back, as it just wasn't for us, but most seasonals seemed to love it there.

where do i start? we just got back into camping last year and were looking to venture further out this year. we had read a TON of good reviews and saw that brialee offered alot of what we wanted out of a campground. we figured we would give it a try. from the front gate to the time we rolled under the exit gate it was nothing but amazing! everyone and we mean EVERYONE we ran into, talk to , passed by was super friendly and such an inviting atmosphere. we were a few feet short on our power cord, before i could even speak our neighbor we hadn't even met yet brought over an extension for us to use for the weekend! staff was amazing, smiling, helpful, and fun! i took our pup for one last walk before we left and ran into Charlie and guess what!! another AWESOME person , great convo, and tons of help on which way to exit and which dump station was easier access for us. oh we are coming back in the fall and every year from now on!! we loved it here! pool, pond, woods, activities (even though we lost) were amazing and such a CLEAN park! amazing job, staff , and park thank you for offering such a great campground and you can see the care put into it. thank you again and see you all in the fall

I camped with my family and friends at Brialee for the first time, during Memorial Day weekend 2019. Everyone around the campground was friendly, including the staff. The campground is kept clean and, the campers were civilized. Kayak, canoe, and pedal boat rentals, ceramic painting, bingo game, gem mining, etc. were offered at a low price which is great! This place also offers a pool (with no heat), a splash pad, two playgrounds, fishing, horseshoe, baseball and volleyball field, mini golf, kids crafts, "beach area" etc. To add, you can bring your dog :) There's a van/snow cone truck that drove around the campground when I was there...let me tell you, they make the best snow cone I've ever had in my entire life so, make sure to get one if you ever go to this place. Even though most of the campsites are small, the overall experience for our family and friends was great. Our site was #295 and, comparing it to the other sites, I think ours was a decent size. However, it had no shade at all. Luckily, we had a shade tent with us. Anyhow, for the first time visiting, the overall experience was great. We'll definitely book again in the future!

Disappointed. We loved this camp ground and our kids were always excited to go there. But today we were misteated by rude owner and kicked out of the camp ground. Planning April vacations I called last week to make sure they will have water connected. I was asking because they said on their website that water may not be on. Somebody told me that water will be out Saturday but they will connect it Sunday so we can come for the week. We also suoposed to stay for next 6 weekends there. We got to camp site after office hours (because we got into car accident on our way) We connected camper and realized there was no water on site and no bathrooms available. With 2 little kids its tough to camp in those conditions specialy during cold weather. If I knew that they won't be ready, I would plan my kids vacation differently. I was frustrated. We decided to leave camper there since we prepaid till mid of may and go back home. This morning I went to complain about the siruation and hoped to hear, that they were sorry for misinformation. That's all. But instead I got the owner who jumped on me saying, that he doesnt believe that I got wrong information over the phone. He also suggested that as an english learner I have problem with understanding language (!), suggested that I'm a bad mother taking little kids camping in cold weather, said he doesnt care about me being customer, thretened me with police (!), refused refunding me ($520), and banned me from grounds permamently. And all of that just because I felt frustrated for lack of water. When my husband tried to talk to him afterwords, he refused to come down again thretening him with police. THIS OWNER CLEARLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS. I HOPE HE JUST HAD A BAD MORNING AND TOOK IT ON ME because I refuse to believe that person with this kind of attitude may be still in business. I wasn't going to post it, but I feel hurt. I feel very disappointed and offended by his behavior, especially that we camp with them before several times. As of other people working there, thank you for being so nice and accomodating over couple of years. No complains there. RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS COMMENT I wrote that rewiev hoping that as an owner you will try to make it right with me. Yet you write this long, detailed story and try to show yourself from perfect side. Im not surprised you are blaming my poor judgement, and I do apogize for my loud voice. I was clearly upset. But I was not yelling or disrespect the staff. Yelling is different than upset tone of voice. I did call you rude, because you were, while I was just upset customer who try to figure out why I was misinformed. I appreciate the seasonal person who helped us out. She was awesome. But the story that I was informed about the weather, got the phonecalls, was offered swipe site etc. is really great but absolutely not true. The same states about our conversation during accident which was purely about wood, not about water or bathrooms. I wrote this rewiev because Im upset about how owner handled my complain. And instead admiting to mistake, you are going on how profesional you were and how nasty I was. You tried to inform me about conditions during the time of reservation (which one? I had a two seperate ones). I added april vacation couple of weeks ago. And I was NOT informed that time about the situation, otherwise I WOULD NOT add that week of stay to my weekends. So please, dont picture me as a disrespectful, angry customer, because Im not. Coming with 2 little kids to those conditions was very upseting. And we booked the whole week because we loved your camp site. I didnt bash it on internet like you say (im upset with owner not campground). The clerk is very nice, I had never any problems with staff. Owner is the one who came and accused me of lying just like that. And me stepping behind clerk desk is silly. I went NEXT to the edge because you were showing me the map. So why you are even say that? Anyways, I feel very sorry it ended like that. We lost good place only because the owner did not care about people which give...

While I do love this campground, some sites are lacking in advertised amenities. We've stayed here twice now, the first time was in the middle of a field with zero shade and sun burnt grass. The second stay, we intentionally booked a more secluded wooded site after scoping the place out during our first trip. Brialee is certainly getting up there in price by comparison to neighboring campgrounds. I'm sure they have spent a significant amount based on their recent upgrades and therfore passed along their expenses to their customers. My issue with Brialee on this trip was the absolute lack of attention we received from the staff once notified of a problem. We paid good money to spend a weekend here with multiple sites booked for a group to be 100% disregarded and brushed off. I'll share with you the e-mail I sent after our stay, as of this date nearly 3 weeks later I've still not received any response from them. My advice to you, save your money and enjoy a state park for camping instead of lining the pockets of this campground who will brush you off unless you're one of their seasonal sites.

Good afternoon Brialee staff:

We recently camped on site 177 this past weekend. We stayed with a large group of friends who booked sites 177,178,179,180 and 205. While we did have a wonderful trip despite the weather, we did have an issue with the power at our site. When we arrived on Friday around 12pm we stopped at the office and paid for early check in, went down to our site and began setting up. It became apparent immediately that the 110 outlet at our site was not functioning. It was flashing red and yellow and was not powered. We went up to the office around 3pm on Friday and informed the woman at the check-in counter that we had an issue. She took down our site number and my telephone number on a "work order" and told us that management would be in around 10am on Saturday and someone would be down shortly thereafter to "take a look". We figured, no big deal we can make due for the night. I called the office at 10:30 on Saturday morning to ask if they knew what time someone would be down and if we needed to remain on the site to meet them. Again, they took my name, phone number and said someone would be in touch shortly, by phone. I received no call back and no one ever came down to our site to check on the power situation. I understand that there was severe weather and that your team was dealing with multiple power outages in a separate area of the resort but I find it absolutely ridiculous that I didn't even receive a call back from management regarding our site. Thankfully we were camping with friends and we were able to run our extension cords from their neighboring site onto our own. I am still quite upset over the fact that I paid $175 for a site with power for two days and that my site did not in fact have a working electrical receptical. This was the second time we have chosen to stay at Brialee for our annual friends getaway and I am doubtful that we will return. I appreciate the renovations and updates that were made to the public areas but if you are going to charge these rates, then your sites need to be up to par with neighboring campgrounds that offer the same amenities. Serious upgrades need to be made to the box on site 177. Aside from the fact that the 110 outlet had no power, it's pretty appalling that the rats nest of cable wires for 15 other sites are just dangling from the box on site 177. I didn't even feel comfortable utilizing our water spigot on our site due to the mess of cables hanging down in the path of the faucet. Please make repairs and do better with your...

We stayed this past weekend. We were excited for our first camping trip, and also cautious because of restrictions due to covid. They had updates on the website keeping us updated on the things that were open and what they were doing to keep everyone safe. We checked in on Thursday. We walked up to the store to find out about wifi and were told that they were working on it, no big deal we were camping. The next day we went to the store for some supplies and while my friend and were wearing masks no one else was and while the sign outside said 4 people at a time there were WAY more than 4 in there. I went outside after getting rung up and noticed that they were writing the activities for the day on the board, I asked the young girl if we could get a written copy and she told me to go inside and ask. I was speaking to a very nice woman who was at the desk, she advised they did not have a written copy, but that I could download the app. I advised her I didn't have wifi, the dark haired women at he register yelled over to me that there was wifi at 2 places, I advised her that my daughter and I were there that morning and could not connect, she then responded " you need a password!" And I advised that I knew that but we couldn't connect. She then said very rudely " there is WiFi there and I can show you on the camera if you would like!". I made a face because I didn't know you could see wifi on a camera, and a little taken aback by her tone to me. She then said "ok you can leave!!". I was shocked that she would first of all yell at me, my friend was horrified, I was not even talking to this women in the first place nor wasI upset about the wifi. I just wanted the activities, and if she hadn't interrupted me speaking to the other woman she would have heard me say I would just go get my phone and take a photo of the board outside, but she didn't because she got very defensive very quick. This woman was rude, plain and simple. I have run Hotels as a general manager so I get Customer Service and this women could benefit from a few classes I think. Reading through these reviews it seems that she had had run inswins others, and it seems it is ok for her to treat people that way. That's ok, we just won't come back. Oh and she was not wearing a mask either. It seems if you are not a seasonal camper you do not matter, most of the staff were young and friendly, however it feels like because we aren't seasonal we were less important.

The activities were good, the beach was nice, and the regulations at the pool made us feel comfortable with social distancing etc. The fire works we're ok too. My daughter and friend loved the food truck. My husband felt that the staff was not overly helpful, but again we aren't seasonal so.. ...it stinks that this one rude lady made me want to leave, it really can take just one thing to leave a bad taste. Again I have worked at hotels and customers service can make or break a guest stay, this encounter broke mine.

We camp every summer, several weekends/weeks but I will not...
