Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle — Hotel in Ashland

I went this past summer to Cal. Pen. Tab. while visiting Northern VA with my daughter and her family. I traveled with a group of seven for the Cury Blake meetings. I am truly thankful for this place and the worship enriched our experience, the morning service was powerful. The person officiating the service was a lovely woman of color, with short hair and glasses, and I will always remember her. She was incredibly anointed. I could sense the power of God flowing from that platform as she guided the congregation to remain and wait for God to move. The food was delightful! The accommodations are tidy. The only aspect that slightly spoiled our visit was the impoliteness and haughtiness of a woman at the front desk named Chantal. I made a point to remember her name because she then stood at the back with another woman at the table selling the ministry merch, and both were acting in a boisterous way while the service was ongoing. The Man of God was ministering, Jesus was performing healings, and the service officiant was beautifully leading in healing songs, but those 2 women in the back was simply being annoyingly disruptive, acting like high school mean girls who gathered to gossip. How unfortunate. We plan to visit again for sure, and I pray I meet the young lady who led the service that day again.

What an amazing place! This campground is like an open portal to heaven. I have been there twice this summer and I’m going back a third time in a couple of weeks. I have had so many encounters with God being here and several answered prayers very quickly. I’ve met great people from all around the world and enjoyed getting to know them. Yesterday I sat with a Pastor from Southeast India. I’ve met people from Cameroon and Canada to roommates from Romania. This place is like a Utopia! People from literally all over the globe come here to encounter God and experience his tangible presence.

The room and board is free, and they give you two meals a day removing any hindrance of financial distress or obligation to come, all you have to do is get there then everything else is provided.

The staff was cold and made everything complicated. I asked to be moved to another room because my roommate kept turning the air off in our room on a 80° day and staff told me to work it out with my room mate instead of just moving my room. Couldn't sleep because of it, and every thing I did from the moment I came in was power tripping from staff. Later tonight they finally moved me to a privileged women's room. 5 bed room she has room to her self. She says she's concerned that I have Corona. (No symptoms)and my last service is disrupted and here I am in a hotel I couldn't afford 7 hour's from home getting more from the Lord here then I did from this camp. I don't like to complain.
