Our son was married there Sunday May 5th 2019. The lodge is rustic and charming. Every attention is paid to detail for the wedding and the reception afterwards. The wedding site, weather permitting, is 1.4 miles down the road from the lodge and is just lovely. It provides an idyllic backdrop for an outdoor wedding. Everyone involved in our son's wedding was on top of everything. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The food at the reception was excellent.....the best "wedding dinner food," we've ever had. Everything was tasty, well prepared, well presented and plentiful. (Fish, tri-tip and prime rib with asparagus, salad, fruit, etc.). They even had several dishes for the young children that were in attendance. The breakfast the next morning was also great. Scrambled eggs w/ cheese, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, cereals, juices, bagels, French toast, etc.||||The rooms are small but well decorated and very clean. NOT all rooms have a bathroom. This is European style with a shared bathroom down the hall for some. Plenty of room for dancing on the mezzanine and a beautiful arch for display of the wedding cake, awaiting cutting by the new bride and groom. The cake was also excellent. There is a game room downstairs for additional entertainment. There is also a beautiful outdoor patio below the mezzanine level for a small gathering.||||The staff make every effort to make the day special for the bride and groom and are well organized and smiling at every turn. This is "the hills".....but it "ain't Beverly Hills!" If you're looking for charming, old world, rustic, welcoming, "antiquey" and comfortable, this is your place. Well, the reviews were right. Forest House Lodge gave us a better wedding that we could have imagined. My wife and I married here in April 2024 and could not have been happier with our experience. We did a 2-day package (Rehearsal Dinner & Wedding Day--amazing decision). The ceremony site is breath-taking, the food is incredible, the basement lounge is insane, and most importantly, our guests were blown away.

Here's how Forest House Lodge went beyond our expectations: The entire staff of FHL works as a friendly, cohesive unit. We had a ton of unexpected snow on our wedding day (...in April). The staff drove their personal vehicles through the ceremony site repeatedly just to pack down the snow so that our shuttle wouldn't have a problem come time for the ceremony. We've been to a ton of weddings, and we've never seen a group of people more dedicated to giving you a great experience than the folks at Forest House Lodge. The staff is comprised of good people who are great at what they do.

We used a venue-recommended DJ (SJ's Disc Jockey) and Wedding Photographer (Heather Blackwood Photography). Both were fantastic and knew the venue intimately. Our coordinator, Clara, was excellent in working with all of our vendors the whole day so that we didn't have to stress. I cannot express enough how stress-free our wedding was thanks to the staff. Wedding days are wild, so having a venue that runs like clockwork is crucial.

Forest House Lodge truly thinks of everything. From the breathtaking canyon views at the ceremony site to the after party space that has something for everyone, they don’t miss a single detail. One of our favorite touches was ending the night with champagne and cake slices already waiting for us in the newlywed suite, such a thoughtful surprise.

Their decor closet was another huge highlight. It is included at no extra cost, which not only helps cut down expenses but also reduces waste. I sent our coordinator my Pinterest board, brought a handful of our own items, and they filled in the rest with details that completely surpassed expectations. The end result was even better than what I had imagined.

Our coordinator Katie and the entire Forest House team were incredible. They made planning feel so easy, and on the wedding day I did not have to think about a thing. Everything was handled with care, kindness, and genuine passion. The staff also take care of cleanup. By the next morning all of our decor was neatly packed and ready to go so we could just load the car and start enjoying our first married day.

We heard from so many guests how impressed they were, not only with the beauty of the venue but also with the kindness of the staff and how thoughtfully everything is set up to make sure both the couple and guests have the best experience possible.
