Sun Valley Family Campground — Hotel in Auglaize Township

After looking at some of the reviews about S.V.Campground I cannot express enough how wrong some of these ppl are!!! I have camped at Sun Valley off and on all summer long for the past few years(more like 7) and I have to say that I have NEVER seen a camp site with restroom and showers cleaned so well!! Not to mention the amazing help you receive from staff members and awesome lifeguards! The onsite carry out equipment with everything you would want or need to address your camping stay ( they even sale firewood)and the onsite laundry room is very thoughtful of the owners! This is far from the reviews that was shared by some and would just like to say that some people need to remember that IT IS A CAMPGROUND! So yes....you will hear loud music on weekend holidays from time to time - and YES you will see someone that's had their fair share of alcohol from time to time - AND YES - PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE CAMPING. Very family oriented and kid friendly! NO PROFANITY accepted by staff or year long campers and I would like to just mention one last thing.....there's TWO fishing ponds and a water treated pond with water fall, 2 slides and a deck for great family time swimming!!! If you listen to the negative reviews THEN you will truly miss out on a awesome affordable camping site!! I do not know the owners personally but I do know that their home is right next to the entrance of the campground and if you need anything addressed .....on my honor I KNOW that you can definitely go see them and know without a doubt that it will be...

I thought by the pictures that this would be a fun family-friendly campgrounds. I was very wrong. The pool is nice and big and looks beautiful as you drive into the park, but it's just a pond. Pea gravel on the bottom. They really don't have any campground rules either. They have campers that I think were seasonal throwing a party with loud music and everyone at that campsite was drunk. There must have been 20-30 people there. The party went on until way past 2am. The next night was the same way. This place is advertised as being great for families but it really is not. It is great for drunks. The office staff was very friendly though. I did complain the next morning and the lady at the front desk did inform me that there are some loud parties on the weekends. They really really need to put some rules in place. One being a quiet time!! We will never go back and we will never recommend this park to our friends or family. NOT worth the headache and...

Brochure is not accurate!!! Pool is closed on Monday and Tuesday! What for? Let me tell you...lifeguards said because its the two slowest days...so what you can't tell me nobody who spends the money to camp there doesn't want to swim on those days. Brochure says your open on those days! Camp store doesn't open until noon! Not what the brochure says! Pictures in the brochure not accurate! The staff was excellent though and I probably would come back. But please tell me accurate information before I drive an hour and a half to camp. We chose this campground specifically for the pool for the kids and we were surprised when we lost two days of swimming! Like the other review they gave us site 240 I guess I shouldn't of been surprised when there was a camper there. They told us somebody moved their camper there without them knowing. Well my opinion you should have told him to move back to where he was if he wasn't supposed...
