What a beautiful location! Was there for Tribal Vision, and this was the perfect place to experience it all. A minor glitch upon checking in was rectified quickly by a friendly service staff. The little restaurant serves fresh food and GREAT coffee! I had a turkey and cheese wrap on while wheat tortilla that was out of this world. I stayed in one of their Glamping Tents in the Magic Forest, a big 16x16 unit with a comfy queen bed (ask for extra blankets because it gets cold at night! Convenient, with power and lighting, with showers, sinks (both with great hot water!) and bathrooms with flush toilets nearby. It's not the Hilton, but it's definitely like a luxury Burning Man! I've seen reviews that complain about the noise, but I was extremely happy with the noise level (stage is a few hundred yards from the Magic Forest with bands that played late), but I never had a problem sleeping. Other complaints her mention that the grounds are rough. That's called Mother Nature. And for the number of people who come through their, it's pretty well tended. But...if you want ALL the amenities, rent a fking hotel! Bonus is the exquisite New Mexico sky at night, perfect for stargazing and constellation seeking campers. There are a couple of chairs outside the tent, so it's ideal for chilling with your favorite beverage as the sun goes down, or soaking up the noonday sun. The surrounding area is magnificent, with stunning rock cliffs, majestic river views and magical blue sky and clouds that are this photographer's dream! Hikers will love it! And they're dog-friendly, too. I'm not a zipliner or paddleboarder, but I met a few families that were using the facilities and having a blast. A great getaway weekend! I love camping, but the older I get, the more I appreciate enjoying nature without breaking my back! This is just what I needed.

I can't speak to this place as a stand-alone campground, but as a festival venue, it's one of the best I've ever been too. The river runs right through the middle of the site, with the main stage on one side and a smaller stage on the other, so no matter where you are you're right by the water. The river is clean and you can swim, which is so nice. There are also pools where you can swim and paddleboard. The pools are a little murky but still nice. The venue provides paddle boards and tubes for free, but they were a bit sad so we were glad we brought our own. The sound equipment at both stages is about as good as you can get, and the sound techs absolutely know what they're doing. There are some shaded spaces, but I do wish there were a bit more, so I recommend bringing your own shade. They do a beautiful job of creating a flow of the spaces to wander around. There's lots to explore, with earth art, various workshop spaces and lots of room for vendors. There's also a little cafe on site that sells ice and serves a pretty decent latte. There are also several places that have high quality filtered water to fill up your water bottles. The camping areas are nice as well. The tent camping places are in the trees so there's lots of shade. However the tent camping is across the water from the parking lots, so it is a ways to hike in stuff. The venue did have some vans that helped people haul though. The car camping didn't have trees or shade, but they did have real bathrooms and showers, which was great.

Ashlee Garcia runs the whole place - she is absolutely incredible and reminds me of old school hosts who really go the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. She was extremely busy and stayed positive and professional and helpful. I have stayed here several times now, and I have been staying at RV parks for many years throughout the US. Everything was clean and well thought out, the river is beautiful, dog park for big and small, most of the rv spots are very nice and you're not so close to be by anyone's sewer hose, fire pits, nice hot shower, electric, water everything working good, they bring your propane to you- just call and it's cheaper than anywhere else, laundry is pretty good, one of the dryers takes a little bit lol, what else can I say? Excellent Resort, felt private and nobody was on top of us, everyone very relaxed- no issues- just happy. Owners have good people there, Ashlee should be running whatever she wants- I hate everyone and she's top notch all around took care of everything and everyone right away - I had a great experience each time that I have stayed with them. They do have winter spots and long term spots too. If you call- go ahead and leave a message because Ashlee will call you back pretty much right away every time if nobody is in the office if it's off hours. And if you're on the road and you go online and there is a spot available you can just go there and pay online and have a good nights rest. No worries at all. I haven't been to any of the concerts but it's a huge area by the river and they put in a beautiful bridge and a huge stage with lighting- I hate crowds but it's really nice by the river and plenty of room to relax father away from the stage so probably will go! Also zipline and they have two lake areas with paddle boards, big slides, there is actually a nice sandy beach there, very clean - no glass, trampoline, volley ball, disc golf- actually a really nice course for that, bbq grills under a huge canopy- swings, volley ball, horse shoes, I don't even remember all they had there, tire swing lol Everyone having fun and very respectful crowds. I thought I would hear the highway and maybe it would be noisy at night but man it does get so quiet at night even with people there, everyone really obeys the late night and curfew and just sits by the fire, the ducks and geese all hang out, lots of turkeys, - really nice. Lot's of really neat hikes in the area too and very close to Durango and anywhere in the four...

We rented the furnished Montana camper to stay in for 5 nights, thinking we were getting a beachy, river family vacation. When we arrived, the entire property is rundown, dirty and it appears that very little maintenance/ cleaning is done. Half the furniture on the patio was broken and the citronella candle had been turned into an ashtray and was filled with garbage. My husband had to put on gloves to clean the fire pit and surrounding area just for it to be usable. We were also told that they'd booked an event for that weekend and hadn't bothered alerting the existing guests, which was critical considering the event was the Cannabis Cup so the riverside area and beach were filled with people smoking and loud music. There also appears to be a dispensary on site. To each their own, but not ideal when traveling with a 4 yo. |The "pond" areas were essentially just large bodies of stagnant water, which were filthy, smelled bad and were naturally overrun with Mosquitos. The paddle boards were free, but you were left to your own devices to locate the paddles and the "water slide" is just a huge wooden ramp that looks like it's about to collapse. As a result of the stagnant water and porta-potty-type public bathrooms, the entire place stunk like a sewer.|Half the lights in the trailer didn't work, there was no instructions on how to use the amenities and the mattresses were absolutely filthy. |The only reason I didn't mark this place "terrible" is because the office folks were very nice and accommodating. Our camper had needed some significant maintenence/repairwl when we arrived and they proactively offered us a credit for our stay. When we went back the next morning (literally the second they opened) all my husband had to say is that we had some trouble and they immediately offered a full refund. |All this being said, if you want a vacation where all you do is party, smoke and drink, then float around on the river then this place would probably be fine. It is not however what they are trying to sell on their website, which is tons of activities and fun...

We stayed here in a 36' 5th wheel. The sites are large and well spaced out (at least, where we stayed on the north side of the resort). We were in site 27, which I liked because it was on the end. The only downside to our site was that it was right next to the main sewer for the campground and we kept getting wafts of sewer smell throughout the day, likely made worse from the summer heat. We were also right next to the inner tube water slide, which our three daughters spent hours on. It's a neat design because the kids can get going pretty fast but there's really no risk of falling into the actual river (which was running pretty fast while we were here). It ends in a shallow pool/pond at the bottom and then you take a very short but steep hike back up to the top to do it all over again. It was great that it was right behind our site! I would probably book site 26 next time to not be in the off-gassing zone of the sewer (which I can smell right now as I write this review, lol). The campground is slightly higher than the river, which is why the slide works. On the other side of the river, they have two ponds with a bunch of paddleboards and other floating fun available for use. They often have live music on a stage right on the beach by the two ponds, although we didn't get to experience any on our Sunday-Wednesday stay. I think it would be pretty cool to be here for that, though! It wasn't very crowded at all during our mid-week stay. Plenty of open sites, but I guess they book up pretty solid on weekends and when they have shows. My girls didn't do any of the slides or the free zipline (there's a free one and one you pay for), so I can't speak to that. All in all, a really nice park in a very scenic place. Durango is less than 30 minutes to the north and aztec/farmington 30 minutes to the south. Lots of adventuring to be had in the area. All the other campers we met were very nice. If in the area, we would...
