O's Anchor Bay — Hotel in Baldwin Township

Weekend stay in Cabin #4, with water views from almost every room. Had a wonderful stay during off season, so it was chilly outside, but also not very crowded around town. Owners were very hospitable, genuinely wanted to make sure we had an excellent stay. Several fire pits, with firewood included. Played shuffleboard, corn hole and horseshoes. The deck is in great shape with A++ furniture. The cabin was squeaky clean with soft sheets and plenty of linens. The kitchen was stocked+ (a blender!) enough to make every meal in. The cabins are older- but everything is fully functioning and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday Farmer's Market (seriously, probably the best one I've been to,) and Tawas Point State Park (no fee for recreation passport holders.) We got up early to see the sunrises and I don't regret any...

The cabin we stayed in was very clean, smelled fresh, and had all the supplies and equipment needed for cooking/eating. The view of the Lake Huron is spectacular (well...the resort is right on the water's edge) :) Also, the owners were very gracious and asked us several times if we needed anything, so we felt well taken care of. They also provided board games and cards which were on a shelf and we utilized them on rainy days. I feel the owners care very much about the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. They also provide free wood for bon fires! They upgraded the internet, and we had NO issues with the internet access, and using our cell phones.

We enjoyed our stay, and already booked a few times for the upcoming summer months.

The location is stunning, relaxing, and close to everything. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and welcomed. My pup and I enjoyed the sun deck on the water the most!

You can tell they work hard to keep the accommodations tidy and smelling fresh, but it is an older motel, so for those with a sensitive smell, the mustiness might be too much in the room closest to the water. It's just something you can't mask. Maybe a good air purifier is needed, problem solved? That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

Also, there were no shower gels, soap, or shampoo, so make sure you bring your own! No beach or play area if you have kids. Do try the Cobb salad at the BBQ place up the road. Delicious is an...
