This is probably the single worst motel/hotel I have stayed in my entire life. I arrived early, so I understand some wait. I had to wait more than 2 hours (most hotels I have stayed at do have rooms ready before the listed check-in time). The staff was basically all from fairly to very unfriendly. After waiting for 1 & 1/2 hours I was told one room might be ready. After listening to the client before me state the Wi-Fi was completely inaccessible, I asked them what else I could expect not to work in this room. At this point the manager did an about face and told me I would have to wait another 30 minutes (they were obviously trying to dump me in a completely dysfunctional room). After another 30 minutes I was told the room was on the 3d floor, not the ground floor (I had an injury to my ankle tendon, so it was difficult to walk). When I arrived in the room this is what I found: 1) the door had been busted open repeatedly, so all the locks were loose and had been badly reattached. 2) the faucet fixture was completely loose and wiggly. 3) The hardware in the bathtub to turn the water on and off and regulate hot water was also completely loose and half busted. 4) The toilet seat was loose. 5) On the second day I found a live cockroach in the bathroom. 6) The AC and heating unit was basically impossible to adjust properly to a good temperature and was incredibly noisy when it came on 'automatically' so I had to turn it off. 7) The 'dinette' table attached to the wall was also loose. 8) The only 2 full days (in succession) that I stayed at the property, the front desk locked me out of my room by reprogramming the card keys: not only were there no apologies, but a holier-than-thou arrogant attitude when I complained about their actions. 9) There were innumerable people with significant problems staying at the motel. It almost looked like it was also functioning as a housing location for the destitute and the mentally questionable. On Saturday morning a lady trudged around the 3d and 4th floors, heavily banging and dragging her feet, and every 2-3 seconds emitting very loud lamentations. She did this for about 1 and ½ hours. People had barking dogs at 5 in the morning. There was constant car traffic at all hours of the night. Much door slamming. While some of this might be fully acceptable if it were a charitable organization housing the disadvantaged, to do this as or in combination with a motel, is unacceptable. 10) The cleaning ladies resented cleaning, and basically did nothing and made you feel they had just graciously performed the most difficult and demanding task in the world for just changing the towels. 11) I asked if they gave wake-up calls. The lady at the desk said she didn’t really know who would be there. She then agreed to a certain time in the morning the following day. *Of course, that call was never made. 12) When given the card keys to enter the room, absolutely no instructions were given for the internet. Previously a man had complained about the very poor access, and the manager said they were “working on it.” The complete lack of any info regarding access seems instead to point to the fact that they simply don’t have functional wi-fi. This is COMPLETELY CONTRARY to the ads made for their hotel, which must therefore be assumed to be mostly fraudulent, and demonstrably so about this specific feature. 13) The sheets on the bed were very old, and had multiple cigarette burn holes. 14) At one point, at about midnight, a semi entered the small parking area my room looked out on. The semi maneuvered very dangerously among vehicles, then bumped into the motel building itself. Two guards confronted the driver, but it should never have been possible for the driver to enter the parking premises in any case, because given his vehicle’s size, it was clearly a danger to all parked vehicles, and the space available was much too small for good semi maneuverability. 15) On the evenings of Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday, the elevator to the upper floors, had been urinated in copiously both nights. 16) There were handymen on the property, allegedly performing repair work, but the motel is so utterly in disrepair it looks like it is held together with scotch tape and duct tape. 17) While admittedly these were not listed, there was no fridge, no microwave and no coffee pot in the room, so absolutely none of the 'extras' that almost all motel...
Read moreIf I could give it less than one star, I would. First, everything bad I read, but thought was probably exaggeration, was true! Concrete breaking, holes in walls, the elevator worked.... but it left little room for confidence, as the floor was crumbling inside it and someone had tried taping it down with some blue painters tape! Next we were assigned a room that the door lock died just as we finished putting all our valuables and luggage INSIDE the room. 4 extra trips up and down the stairs, with “let us reprogram your key and then let us give you new keys” finally maintenance was requested to open the room. He couldn’t, because the battery in the door mechanism was dead. They then told us that they would assign us another room, but the only person with a master key was the manager so we couldn’t get our belongings until after 8am the next morning!!!! Oh, that didn’t fly well with my husband. Fortunately, they found someone with a master key and we retrieved our belongings. They assigned us another room. The staff has been helpful, apologetic and kind throughout this ordeal, and helped move our belongings to the ‘new’ room. Well, new to us as there was nothing NEW about this room! I turned on the air conditioner and remarked to my husband that I hoped the temperature was satisfactory because the job to change it was missing. I went into the bathroom and.... yes there were old cigarette burns but the fixtures were dirty. There was a half full roll of bathroom tissue left on the back of the toilet and no roller to hang it from. I turned back the top sheets to one of the beds and it didn’t look -fresh. So I turned down the other bed and there was hair in the bed! Definitely not fresh!!!! I don’t believe I mentioned that this is all happening on the 4th floor and my husband is going up and down the stairs repeatedly! (The elevator is less than convenient to these rooms). So this time, he requested a refund. They assigned us yet another room-and told him they would have to discuss a refund with the manager in the morning. We can’t say enough nice things about the staff, they were all wonderful. But the management has done nothing to make this a reasonable accommodation for travelers. Plus they need a reliable cleaning company to take over for whoever is not...
Read moreThis location needs better service training. Especially for the house keeping staff. I reserved a room from July 10 - 17, 2017 for a conference I was attending. If I had the additional funds to stay somewhere else, I would have. The old saying, you pay for what you get, has never been so true. The vicinity didn't seem dangerous initially, but after a few hours/days that perception changed. I was originally placed in a room in the back of the property. I didn't feel safe, so requested to be assigned another room in the front of the property. The front desk complied. The room I was assigned had dirty blankets on both beds and only enough towels for one person. I informed the front desk and they had the blankets replaced. On top of that, I was charged additional fees, I went to the manager and he informed me that the system made the charge and that it would be refunded within a day. So, that matter was taken care of. I was having trouble getting the correct amount of towels each day and the toilet was broken and running nonstop. My breaking point occurred on Friday (July 14), I came to the room a little early (4:08 PM). Upon entering the room, I saw that both beds were not made up and all of the towels were taken and not replaced. I went to the front desk to inquire had the housekeeping staff left for the day. The rep assured me that they were still there, but work a little slow. I left to return to my conference and returned to the room a little after 10 PM only to find it in the same condition, no towels and the beds still not made. I went back to the front desk, pissed at this point and wanted to know what happened. The same rep was there and stated she would bring me towels. 30 mins passes and she brings the towels or only what she had. She claims to have written up the housekeeper. I informed her that I would be checking out three days early due to the issues this week. I made reservations at another hotel and checked out the following morning. While checking out, I informed the manager of what had occurred. He had the head housekeeper come to the lobby and explained to her what had happened, he also refunded me two days...
