The first the Lady showed was So bad of mildew,I have Asmia ||||||The first room she showed was unloveable,, it smelled so bad of Mold & Mildew. So then she showed me a patio room ,the room was no better ,walking through broken up pieces of cement. The 3 rd room wasn’t so bad. At this point we said yes after driving 7 hours. The rug was so nasty, not just in our but all through hallways .I always travel with Clorox wipes, Lysol , frebrease so that all helped. The top off coffee maker had so much dust on it . The window sill was nasty dirty. The beds were ok and the little kitchen was fine. They had no carts to bring stuff into your room on so we made 20 trips. Then when it come to pool , I kid you not there had to be 40 steps to get to it. I’m very short Winded and have allergies & Asmia . The pool was very nice except for the skinny little steps to get in it. The step on the deep end was broke. We did tell man and in 2 days it was fixed.Hot tub dirty and bottom chipping up. Told front desk. The bathroom shower floor was extremely slippery. They brought some strips and put down after a couple days. On 7/7 the whole pool area was closed. When we first got there there was no hot water . It was late . The next morning I took a cold shower, then when we up and dressed we told them at desk.the game room was beautiful. The whole resort is very nice just needs updating. We we’re very upset with the place Smoke Tree Lodge . We made the best of it but feel we were not treated nice.||The one Maintance man was very nice. He worked nights. I feel we should get something back for this bad...
Read moreNot the best place...It was clean, the pool table definitely saved the day, since the pool wasn't open all 5 days we were there. When we checked in the girl at the desk told us that our room key would also get us in to the pool and hot tub area as well as the sauna. Well, the pool was never open and until the the last full day we were there, the room to the sauna, bathrooms and exercise room was pad-locked. The hot tub however was open....which was very nice, but we really would have liked to use the pool, sauna and exercise equipment...NOT available! The person at the desk didn't have a key to open the pad-locked door either. We were told that we could use the pool at their sister hotel ( half a mile up the road) We should have stayed there instead! We were on a mini vacation and really looked forward to the indoor pool, which by the way they boasted about on their sign out front. The pull out bed in the living area was also unusable.(The mattress was very bumpy) Our daughter slept on the couch instead. The one bedroom has a ceiling fan, but no air or even a window. As a middle aged woman....this was horrible. This hotel could use a serious update. It wasn't the worst, but very disappointing, as we are members of RCI and most of the hotels that you can stay at are a lot nicer. It rained the whole time we were there so the pool would...
Read moreOnly put a star because it's making me! Worst stay ever! Got there Friday night and the room smelled of mold so bad that we were all coughing and my son ended up with a bad headache. The next day we asked to be moved. We were moved to another room, which was a down grade. No oven to cook our food in the oven we had. We were dealing with that though. The sink was stopped up and then the first time the bathroom was used it was stopped up. Obviously there was a plumbing problem in that unit. We had to call the front office and they sent maintenance. The man showed up and just walked in. He had to get so many tools so he kept walking in and out. He had the bathroom so nasty. Just put it this way. It was brown! We were already over the trip at this point but what put the icing on the cake was that I told the front office that the bathroom would need to be cleaned when he was done. The front office sent bathroom cleaner to our room as if we were to clean the bathroom!! Also, the building is rotting and falling apart. There are carpenter ants every where. Do yourself a favor and don't stay there! I will never be back! We left a...
