I stayed there the summer of 2021 in the lakeside cottages, and the cottage and the view was beautiful. The drive to Mt Desert was about 40 minutes. The cottage we stayed in had tons to do on its own. Pool table, foosball table, canoes and kayaks, the kids had a lot of fun with just those things alone.

What a wonderful place to stay on MDI in Maine. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was well equipped and very clean. Everything we wanted to do and see was close but we still felt like we got away from it all. The best part though was by far the beach with the sunsets!!!

Loved, loved, loved the cottage we stayed in! Great view of the ocean inlet. Warm & cozy cottage. Highly recommend it. Everything you might need was supplied.

We spent a week in cottage #3. Amenities were just what we needed; kitchen was well-stocked in terms of dishes/pots/pans/utensils. Proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor was excellent. But what made this place so special was the amazing view and daily experience of the tides right outside our front door. We hiked the beach during low tide - you can get a long walk in! We sat in the adirondack chairs, watched gulls breaking clams and an eagle fishing. On several days the sunsets were spectacular, as were the stars in the night sky. There are 8 separate cottages, and the setting allows for privacy. We did not use the canoes, rowboats, or kayaks, but a range of choices is offered with the cottage rental. The hosts/owners of the cottages were easy to work with - we were concerned about making a deposit on a cottage and then potentially cancelling due to Covid, they were clear that we would receive a 100% refund if...

Gail and Carroll were amazing and hooked us up with Cottage 4. It was the only one available on a holiday weekend so we took it. The first striking thing on this property is how tidy and organized everything is kept. You can tell they really care about each cabin like its their own home. The view from our table and deck was so good, we decided to go to the supermarket and get food to cook. We saved a ton of money eating breakfast in the cabin and grilling dinner on the deck most days. They also have kayaks and canoes on site, but we regret not making time for it. The rate was really affordable and cheaper than a NYC hotel! They have all kinds of brochures in their office if you are lost on what to do. We will definitely be back Gail...
