Absolute wonderful place! The owners Richard and Helen were the sweetest to me and my friends. The whole trip to Bar Harbor was a girls weekend out and it was very comforting to come back to the cottage feeling at home and cozy after the long days of adventuring out. I'd also love to mention my friend originally booked us to stay in the motel since no cottages were available when she booked, but once we got there to check in, Richard told us there was a cottage available and we could have it for $100 more if we liked it better. He showed us inside and we were sold! It was all so cute and granted us more privacy for such a great deal. Also it so nice being right next to the pool they have. They were also very informative of all there is to do in Bar Harbor so we greatly appreciated that. I cannot stress more how great this place was. Whenever I come back to Bar Harbor for more hiking adventures, I will be sure to book this place! Thank you!

We stayed in a cabin here in July and enjoyed it! I was very grateful for the ac unit on hot days. My only complaint is that it's advertised as free wifi, but the wifi doesn't stretch to the cottages. Bar harbor already doesn't have great service, so we felt a bit stranded unable to use service or wifi on our phones or watch TV. If we sat out in the yard we could just barely connect to the wifi. That being said, this place is very well maintained and I really like the couple that runs it. The lady was willing to be flexible with me even with the no refund policy, we were able to move dates due to an unexpected family event. Upon arrival we received lots of great recommendations on what to do during our stay. I would come back!

We stayed in both the motel and a cottage during our trip to Acadia. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The wifi was weak, but that didn't impact us much as we were out hiking all day. The price was very reasonable for the area and the facility was in a safe area. Helen and Richard are lovely people and we're very accommodating to our needs during the stay. The motel & cottages are approximately 12 min away from the Hull Cove Visitor Center and 25 min away from Bar Harbor. It was away from the crowds but close enough to have an early morning of hiking. I would definitely stay here again.

My mother and I are local to the area, but decided to stay here over Memorial Day weekend for a little getaway. We were able to get last minute reservations that were very reasonably priced for the holiday. The cabin was really cute, it had a comfortable bed, a decent bathroom, and a good little kitchen area with a mini fridge. There was a screened-in porch area where you could sit and enjoy some fresh air without having to worry about bugs. There were also some nice little chairs and a picnic table outside as well. The cottage comes with its own heater, which works really well, but no AC. There is a fan. AC isn't really needed in Maine most of the time though. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I spoke with the wife on several occasions, and they were both constantly going around and doing things for upkeep around the place. There's fresh coffee in the office every morning, and they also try to make sure there's ice if you ask as well. In terms of location, it's right in between Ellsworth and Bar Harbor, which provides convenience for exploring in either location. Overall it was an excellent stay, and I commend the owners for the hard work that they constantly put in. Everything...

My husband and I spent the weekend after Columbus day here and it was just lovely. It's very clean and quite comfortable. The host, Richard, it a wealth of knowledge about the local area. We stayed in the hotel section. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The shower is a "camp" shower and is quite small, however, had we wanted a Jacuzzi size tub, we would have spent three times as much and gone to one of the large hotels in Bar Harbor. The office has coffee available from 8am. If you want some before that, head back off the island and there's a gas station with a great snack bar and coffee about a mile back on the left. Great coffee there! About 30 cents less a gallon for gas than on the island as well.

The motel is about a 10 minute walk to the free shuttle which runs through Acadia, so a great place if you're there for hiking. Once the road construction is done, it'll be about 15 minutes to Bar Harbor. Definitely a great place to stay if you want to stay within your budget and want to avoid the crazy hubbub of a large hotel. We will choose to stay here...

We rented cottage #2 for 3 nights. It is a basic cottage with 2 rooms, bathroom, microwave and dorm size fridge. We knew there would be no AC. We brought a fan. It also ended up being unseasonably warm. It was plenty cool enough for us at night. My husband and kids are AC people - they survived! Very clean and well stocked. WiFi is fine. If you’re expecting to stream it isn’t good for that, but it is suitable for anything else. For us, we were out here to enjoy the park - so that wasn’t important. There is cable and there are TV’s. Phone service is fine here - for us. I’m just sharing based on others reviews. In town that is a whole different story - it is basically none existent [you are much better off out here!!]. The pool was warm! We would absolutely stay here again. The owners are wonderful people. We stayed at 2 other places on the way here and this was the BEST!

If you show up here and end up unhappy - that is on you. Do your research and look for what is suitable for you and/or your family. Don’t come here to leave a bad review or read reviews after the fact. That’s...
