We stayed at the Shady Lane RV Camp twice this week. Once on are way to Phoenix AZ. and again on the way home. I got to tell you, if you are looking for to great place just off the main highway, look, drive no further. The guys running this place, Don and Daniel were the nicest, helpful people we have come across in along time. They personally guided us to our site. They made sure that we were able to make it through the park with out hitting anything. (keep in mind, we pulled in at 65feet in the dark) they gave us a great rate and gave us helpful tips for local fuel food. All in all we would be happy to park there anytime. Thanks guys for being so great.

My husband and I were grateful to find Shady Lane RV camp when we needed a place to park our travel trailer for a few days. The location is great, just a few minutes from the main town of Barstow. The facilities including showers, bathrooms, and laundry were clean and easy to use. Don & his son Rob welcomed us with graciousness and kindness. I would give them a 10 plus stars and if we’re back in the area will easily stay there again! Keep up the great hospitality and facility Don & Rob. Thanks again! -Lauren & Matthew

Don't judge a book by its cover! What a gem. I had the best nights sleep in a long time. It could use some updating. But it was CLEAN, I felt safe, they wouldn't take our money until we arrived. I used the laundry and bathroom and they were very clean. We were having mechanical problems and the manager, Daniel cared enough to listen. He suggested a great mobile RV place our brakes are now fixed. We feel blessed to have stayed 3 nights at Shady Lane RV camp. Such wonderful, caring, down to earth people!

On the outskirts of a barren, seedy desert town, you stumble upon a somewhat modest place for an overnight stay when in a bind. This unassuming refuge offers just enough to make your stay bearable.

First and foremost, while it’s not the most luxurious accommodation you’ve encountered, it’s a shelter from the elements. The grounds may not boast opulent decor, but they provide some semblance of shelter. The hookups are functional, if somewhat dated, but they serve their purpose adequately.

The most crucial factor in the modern age, Wi-Fi, can be a bit finicky here. The signal dances between existence and oblivion, forcing you to make your digital interactions brief and to the point. Streaming a movie might be an exercise in patience or futility, and video calls will involve a few frozen frames, but at least you have a connection to the outside world, even if it’s a tenuous one.

As for entertainment, the cable service is reminiscent of the old-fashioned rabbit-ear antenna quality. Expect a limited selection of channels, and the picture might occasionally fuzz out, but at least you have some distraction while you’re holed up here.

On a more practical note, the essential utilities function as they should. Water flows steadily from the taps, electricity powers your devices without interruption, and the sewer hookups efficiently whisk away any waste. In the desert, these are the lifelines that you can’t afford to go without, and in this regard, this place delivers.

So, while it’s far from luxurious and comes with its quirks, this halfway decent spot on the outskirts of a desert town can be a godsend when you find yourself in a pinch. It might not be the oasis of your dreams, but it’s a reliable respite from the harsh desert surroundings, ensuring that you can recharge both yourself and your devices before venturing back out into the...

This was the first stop on our week long RV trip. It was really just a layover type deal. We showed up around 8:30PM and left around 9AM the next day. ||We weren't expecting a lot in amenities or scenery since it is in the middle of the desert and were there just for the night.||What we did get was excellent customer service and a nice clean site. We pulled up and waited for less than 1 minute before someone came out and greeted us. Extremely nice. He knew who we were as we had made reservations. There was 2 RVs in our group. He told us just follow me to your spots, lets get you hooked up and then you can come back to the office to take care of payment. An older gentleman came out and told us the same thing. Both were extremely nice. They hopped in their golf cart and took us to the sites. When making the reservation we told them we were new to RVing. At the sites, both gentlemen were extremely helpful in getting us hooked up, electric, water and sewer. They both gave us some good tips on hooking up that we used at other sites we were at afterwards. Taking care of the payment was easy too. ||The site itself was very clean and well maintained. ||Definitely a 5 star experience when taking into account the location and what we were actually there for. We are going to be getting into RVing and any trips we make that pass through that part of California, we will be staying there...
