As someone who stayed at the Bentley Inn many times under its previous ownership I can say without a doubt that the improvements that the new owners have made are nothing short of amazing! It looks like a completely different place. We had a wedding to attend and jumped at the chance to stay for the weekend to see the new Bentley Inn. They have brightened and modernized a good portion of the inn and it is done to beachy boho perfection. Everything is light, bright, white and new - a complete 180 degrees from what it used to be! The main floor was so warm and welcoming. Our room was clean, with an updated bath, new furnishings and super comfy bed. Every room has a private bath now which is great. Check in and out was super easy and the room comes with badges and towels for the beach which was so convenient. We enjoyed the new "breakfast charcuterie" which was such a nice change from the usual breakfast fare. Simple, fresh and yummy. The staff we talked to had nothing but the highest compliments for the new owners and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommend to friends. Even the outdoor showers were spruced up and are great! I can only imagine that they will continue to make improvements to the property as time goes on, really fixing up the entire place. My only suggestion would be to have more "flat surfaces" by way of a shelf or something in the bathroom to be able to put stuff down. I wish they were open year round because I would love to be able to come stay in the fall and winter to get away and enjoy town at different times of the year. Again - we had an amazing time and the location of the Bentley just...
Read moreRecently booked the Bentley Inn for our anniversary as a quick one night getaway for my spouse and I. After looking up the Bentley Inn, I knew I needed to stay here. It is the cutest bed and breakfast and the transformation it has undergone is just beautiful. I had the opportunity to talk with Tess the owner and she was just wonderful. She gave us a wonderful recommendation for lunch while are room was being cleaned. Beach passes are included which is a nice perk as many places I did look at did not offer this for their town beaches along with beach towels to use! I also was able to borrow a book to read on the very clean and quiet beach which was a short walk away!
Our room (room 11) was clean, inviting, and perfect for our night stay . We had a small view of the ocean which was nice. There is some noise from the main road but nothing that bothered my husband and I . Our bathroom had wonderful clean products to wash our hair and bodies with which I appreciated. The small breakfast spread was nice and the coffee they get from Ports was also delicious. Thanks to Tess, we stopped on our way home to grab a Cocolicious she recommended. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and how close it was to the beach and to walk to other spots in town! We highly recommended this spot to our friends and family and will definitely...
Read moreIf you want quiet, private and clean this is the place to be! One little draw back is you may have to share a bathroom. But can I tell you that I don't think anyone used the one that was next to our room. Girlfriend was a little bummed about it but I didn't care. It really is like the ads state, 3 houses from the beach. Very easy walk. Oh now let me tell you about the beach, WONDERFUL! The best part is that it's private, I mean you need to have a beach "badge" to get on the beach and then displayed at all times. One inconvenience about the beach, couldn't bring a cooler with lunch packed onto the beach. Had to leave it at the stairs. But I also think that is why the beach was so clean. NO garbage anywhere. Was able to walk to dinner at Theresa's South- Very good food but BYO. Not an issue because next block was a packaged goods store. After dinner decided to buy a bottle of wine and sit on the covered porch and relax after dinner. Then went for a walk on the beach by moonlight. Next morning breakfast was great and checkout was very easy. Leave the keys and say goodbye. Couldn't have asked for a...
