When we retired and moved to TN in 2000, Cherokee Lake Campground was the closest one to us that was located on the lake. We wanted a place to leave our camper so we wouldn't have to haul it back and forth all of the time. It had just been taken over by new owners, they were just learning the ropes and we found them to be very accomidating and affordable. We soon had lots of regulars at the campground and it was a very friendly community. The lake is beautiful and we love to fish. Fishing on this lake was the greatest. We spent a big portion of our first 4 years at this campground. We moved away, and I know there were many changes taking place when we left. I can't imagine it being anything but GREAT!
