Horrible service and very rude. When we booked a few day stay during the holidays the owner/supervisor told us if we need to extend we can't get the room for $33.00 per night again. The room we were in was the worst. The breaker box for the entire strip of rooms was in our room 11 in WB location. We were interrupted numerous times a day because another guest constantly blew the breaker using 6 different things to cook with plugged in and the vacuum cleaner. They allowed that guest into our room numerous times when she blew the breaker. We left and came back after taking the dog for a ride to a pet store for some items and we found her in our room and our door wide open. We know it was locked because I locked it before we left. I asked her if I could help her and she said she was let in by management to flip the breaker and she was told she could come in there any time she wanted. I complained at the front desk to the owner and he said that the other guest was given the a key so she can fix the breaker. We immediately moved our belongings to my car. We had our Service Dog with us. Yes service dog for a medical condition he is trained for. They allowed us to have him due to the visible vest, papers etc that we have for him showing he is a Service dog. We are not supposed to questioned about what types of services he provides as a medical service dog. They were rude when we told them he is trained for a medical condition acting as if they needed to know what for etc. My daughter was harassed by guests when she was walking the dog in the designated area we were asked to walk him in. We requested a non smoking room and they refused to give us a non smoking room claiming they don't give them to people with Service animals/pets which is a lie because another person had a dog in a non smoking room. We stayed to ourselves and still go harassed the entire time we were there. Never again will we stay at the OYO Hotel anywhere. Totally disrespectful, rude and very shady especially allowing other guests into our room without us there and with her own key. I told them she can pay for the rest of our stay then. The shower had an orange coating in it. We had to wear flip-flops to shower. Water was not drinkable. We bought bottled water to drink and brush our teeth, no toilet paper or towels. We had to shovel the side walk in front of our door because they told us it was our problem not theirs. The heat worked but sucked at the same time. The TV barely kept a channel in and the internet was spotty. The cord tonthe TV was messed up too. Don't...
Read moreA Surprisingly Unique and Memorable Stay at OYO Hotel!
I recently stayed at an OYO Hotel, and though there were a few hiccups, it turned out to be an experience we won’t soon forget! We originally booked two rooms, but due to an unexpected situation, we were given the charming and spacious room right above the office. This actually worked out perfectly, as we got to be in the heart of the hotel with a fantastic view of the surroundings!
The quirky nature of the room gave it an adventurous feel. The floor may have had a sticky texture, but it was easy to overlook, especially with all the time we spent exploring the nearby attractions. The blankets did have a unique scent, but it added to the authenticity of the experience—almost like staying in a vintage, well-loved guesthouse with stories to tell.
Check-in took a little longer than expected, but the lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and polite. He went above and beyond to assist us, and even though the credit card machine gave him some trouble, it was clear he was doing his best to ensure we were taken care of. Sometimes patience is key, and the personal interaction made the whole process feel more like a conversation with a host than a routine transaction.
Checking out was similarly unhurried, allowing us one last opportunity to soak in the vibe of the hotel. The time spent waiting allowed us to appreciate the local charm and the effort of the staff to handle everything smoothly. Plus, it made leaving a little harder, as we found ourselves reflecting on how enjoyable and unique the stay had been.
The atmosphere at night gave the place a bit of mystery, adding an exciting thrill to our stay. Rather than being uneasy, we embraced the unpredictability and saw it as part of the adventure. We ended up sleeping soundly, reassured by the hotel’s central location and close proximity to the staff.
Overall, our stay at OYO Hotel was a truly memorable one. The quirky, offbeat experience left us with plenty of stories to share and a stay that stood out from the average hotel visit. If you’re looking for something different and enjoy a bit of adventure, OYO is a...
Read moreI recently booked a room with a hotel for 6 nights so I could be near my father who is in the hospital. The booking website advertised this hotel as having non-smoking rooms and free wifi throughout. There was NO wifi available ANYWHERE in the hotel and my room reeked of smoke. I went to the manager who didn't speak any English. An assistant told me that because there were so many guests in the hotel, the wifi didn't work. I showed her my phone and asked her to point out the wifi and she couldn't find it saying that the wifi was not available. This was in the hotel lobby, check-in area. I told her that I absolutely needed wifi in order to be able to secure Uber car service, to order food, make reservations, etc and that if it couldn't be provided, I wanted a refund. She told me to call booking. So I walked a mile to the hospital to use their wifi to call booking and was told that I would get a refund AND assistance in securing new accommodations. I then walked BACK to the hotel to get my luggage and then walked the one mile BACK to the hospital, carrying my suitcase in the sweltering heat. I checked my email and found aa letter from Booking stating that their "partner" would contact me regarding he refund. I don't know nor do I understand what a Booking.com partner is and I then had to book new accommodations on my own, paying top dollar at the last minute. I later called Booking again (another 1 hour on the telephone) and then received an email stating that they would NOT be issuing me a refund. It's quite unbelievable and unacceptable. In summation, Oyo does NOT support their consumer customers. They should be ashamed of their policy and behavior (but they're not) and consequently, I am done being their customer. Caveat emptor when using this "service." They threw me to the wolves and I lost almost $ 400 on this fiasco.
I replied to the manager's response 5 days ago to their email and NO RESPONSE froom them. They are scammers and totally...
