Stayed here for a few days in July 2021. The motel is well located in a forested area next to a motorway. Lake Michigan is a 10-minute drive away. The Bear Dunes are 50 minutes away. To the Crystal Lake 30 minutes. ..The hotel has a barbecue area and a children's playground, as well as mini golf. There is no swimming pool on site. I don’t know if it’s good or bad, but it was boring in the evening. ..I think that with the pool it would be more fun to spend time together in the evening, swim and dive, and so I had to watch TV. The room was clean and comfortable. The room had 2 large beds, but it was not comfortable to sleep on them. ..the mattress is too soft and creaky, and the pillow is small and only 1 piece per person, in general I did not get enough sleep and my back hurt. The room was quiet and the neighbors could not be heard, only the air conditioner worked, which is nice. ..the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. You can drink coffee at the reception. The price per room corresponds to the quality. I advise !

I stayed there a year ago and the service was the worst. The owner is shady as all get out. I wrote a review a year ago and they just replied to it. Lying and gas lighting saying I didn’t stay there. I have photos and receipts! Attached is the photo I took out front of the building of their office sign and the previous comment with reply. I don’t know what the point is of adding a false reply a year later but I would recommend staying in a homeless encampment under a bridge before this place. Clearly being ran by very unprofessional con artists.

We stayed last night on a very short notice. We only called about 2 hours before we got there. They had a cancelation, and they helped us out. We didn't have any plans. It was a fantastic room there. It's an older hotel, but the room was extremely nice. The people were very friendly. It was our wedding anniversary and they gave us a little something for our wedding anniversary. I have to say that I couldn't have asked for a better place for a just, you know, no plan. I think if we're in the area again, we'll definitely stay again

So let’s start with the positive. The actual property is very cute and quaint. The staff and the people who I met while staying there are extremely accommodating and willing to make your stay work. The main issues I had was they appear to miss the small things that could make this a gem of a property. Our particular room was very basic. Older furniture and an A/C unit that was probably as old as I am. It was so old that every time it came on it smelled of mildew. Our door was so out of whack that it required me to put my shoulder into it in order to get it open, the lock looked like someone had taken a hammer to it and our key wouldn’t work so we got locked out of our room. While we were at dinner the manager had a new lock installed. The bathtub was so clogged that if your shower was more than 3 mins you were standing in ankle deep water. I get the need to find affordable remodel materials when outfitting a bathroom but many properties we have stayed at much like this one are using dangerous materials. The bathroom tile was a glazed coating that when wet was like ice. The shower was a new insert shower/Tub which when wet was also like ice. Both my wife and I almost fell while showering it was so slick. More practical, yet affordable materials need to be considered in the future. We had a lamp that didn’t work. They had a small mini golf area but it had weeds growing in it so you couldn’t play. It’s these small things that if handled it could be a nice little oasis in the wilderness. I give them credit for being attentive but had these issues been handled prior these issues wouldn’t have been a problem. If you are looking for a no frills roadside motel for an affordable price this...

This is a really nice motel !!!! we stayed here on august 18th and really enjoyed our stay !! The rooms are clean , the beds are comfy the pillows werent all flat and squishy like most places we have stayed they were real nice pillows ,the towels werent scratchy they were soft and thick (not your typical hotel towel ) . there was a coffeemaker and nice cold mini frig in the room . They have shower doors instead of shower curtains which was a plus . The staff was very helpful and friendly . The breakfast was good they had a nice variety of pancakes, biscuits and gravy , fresh fruit , yogurt parfaits , Danish, and a few different kinds of cereal , Nice clean outdoor pool , picnic area with a grill , play area for kids with swings and stuff also putt putt golf area , and they have a nice big parking lot that can accommodate trailers and boats or snowmobiles and it's in a very quiet area of town which was nice you dont hear the road traffic . If your looking for a reasonable clean place to stay I highly recommend this place . We will be going...
