Sunday March 23, 2025 my friends and I arrived at Spicer Ranch prior to midnight. As soon as we arrived we started unloading the truck and started building camp. When a random voice starts yelling from within the darkness ahead. This random voice was yelling and saying "be quiet". We went about our business and continued to build camp. While a person keeps yelling and says "be quiet I am trying to sleep". So I yelled back and said, "I'm not going to be yelling so if you have something to say, come over to the camp". First off, I am 33 years old and mature. I am not going to be yelling to complete darkness. I'm more mature than that. After, my friend and I set fire and we started making s'mores and talking. We were talking in our normal voices. We weren't yelling. Or "being loud". When this white lady randomly appears from the darkness and starts yelling at us! She says "you guys are being loud. I can't sleep. You guys are disturbing everyone else. You need to be quiet. Right now it is quiet hours. I allowed you guys to talk while setting camp and now that you're done you're still being loud". Which I then said to the racist Karen, "no one is being loud. This is our normal voice. We are hanging by the fire. We are eating s'mores. We are not drinking. And we are definitely not being disruptive. Because if I wanted to be loud then I could have easily blasted music because I brought two speakers with me. So actually, I' am being respectful". Karen goes on to say, " no you're not. You are being loud and I cannot sleep. I know the owner David and I camp here all the time and I'm going to have him kick you out". When Karen left, we continued to interact in our normal voices. Sunday March 23 at around 9:30am an old man drives frantically down the dirt road and demands for us to leave. The man said, "you guys have 30 minutes to leave and that is it. We are done talking". The old man said he was the owner and allegedly gave us "30 minutes to pack and leave". We took our time and eventually left. No rush. First off, I have been to Spicer ranch so many times. About 4 times already and I have never experienced such thing. Last time I was there, I went by myself and I was blasting the music and doing karaoke by myself and no one ever complained. Also, David was confrontational and aggressive when he asked us to leave, but I noticed he was scared. Because he was also yelling from afar. Instead of having a polite civil conversation and approach us in a calm manner to ask what happened, he yelled from across the camp site and believed everything Karen said. But what do you expect. They're both white people. At least Karen had the balls to approach us, I give her...

We found this camping spot on google after a day of traversing Echo Pass. When we arrived, we could not find the campground. We were sitting in a parking lot trying to figure out where we were going to go when the owner pulled around, trying to figure out what these 3 vehicles were doing on his property. He was incredibly welcoming and kind, and this campsite/area is one of a kind. The bathroom was heated and had nice, tiled showers that had very hot water. We felt like we were at a resort, and given the 20-some-odd degree weather that night, the heated bathroom and hot shower were amazing. We had picnic tables, a fire pit, horses not too far away, and amazing views of the stars. We can't more highly recommend this location AND this is on private land, so the owner does reserve the right to refuse campers and we need to make sure that we clean up after ourselves and treat it with respect so that it remains open and available to...

This place was an oasis after leaving the Las Vegas area and Pahrump. We had only been there one night when Mr. Spicer himself came knocking in the morning and kindly asked us to move to the lower parking lot. He was hosting an outdoor event for 5th graders from Las Vegas. We were told that for some this was their first interaction being outside the city and in nature. What a beautiful place for them to have a first experience. We moved as directed and intended to stay one more night. Clean pit toilets were provided. For the safety of the children, the area they were in was off limits. We explored the trailhead and the pastures. Mr. Spicer even allowed us to visit the horses in the pasture. The shower and bathroom building was clean. The grounds are beautiful. Thank you for your hospitality

Spicer Ranch is a hidden gem! Besides great trails, they have free hot showers, nice flush toilets and free camping with a donations box which I think we should all donate to ensure this great place keeps thriving. The mountain bike trails are super fun, they are very narrow with rocky edges and smooth mostly hard pack centers (I bet they get soft in summer). There are lots of wild burros and Joshua trees. The burros don’t seem to ruin the trails like cows or horses, in fact they seem to be the original creators of many sections of trail while others are obviously human cut. They have good flow and more curves then typical game trails. Most of the grades are very mellow. Thank you Spicer Family!
