Cliffview Lodge — Hotel in Beattyville

We stayed in a King Room with my husband for an extended weekend vacation. The room was great, the pictures on the website don't give it justice,cit includes a couch, a tv, and a desk. The shower was amazing (big enough for two people and had separate shower heads). It was easy to get to hikes and attractions.

The kitchen was fully stocked and I mean it truly had everything you might need. There is a dishwasher and they ask you to use it for everything, so you don't need to do dishes yourself.

We pretty much brought our own breakfast and only had coffee and fruits from the provided one (as it was all pre-packaged very sugary items). We also brought our own dairy-free milk (cow milk is provided). While the breakfast was not impressive, I'm not mad about it as the lodge is not that big and it'd be hard to serve anything else for a handful of people between 7 and 10am when the breakfast is open, but if you're more picky as we are, just bring your own stuff, there is plenty of space in the fridge.

The Lodge has a selection of dvds and books you're free to use, I saw there were also some board games but I think these were more appropriate...

Wow…this please is rustic and beautiful. We were in town to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. The customer service and “Good ole boy” atmosphere was wonderful! Karen is the BEST…she made the trip. It was never a dull moment and my stomach hurt from laughing. We would site see during the day and when we would come back she would talk to us and truly engage with us and give us suggestions on what to do the next day. Karen made us feel welcome and special our whole stay. We will be back in the fall to enjoy the changing of the fall leaves. One suggestion though..if you are going to book the zip line or ungrounded boat or canoe DO IT ASAP!!! It books up FAST! Thank you Karen! You made our stay! The space is perfect for meetings. All the meals were great except breakfasts. Breakfast was more continental style and was basically anything you could open. Lunches and dinners were great! The view is just beautiful, especially in the fall. I did not stay in any of the rooms in the Lodge, but I did stay in the retreat cabin. The room I had there had plenty of space.
