PROS: Very well maintained campground. Lots of waterside sites, but most are reserved months or years in advance. You can get nice waterside with water and elec (no sewer) without reservations. Sites very wide, offer more privacy than most campgrounds. Very safe with lots of friendly campers. CONS: We have stayed in many campgrounds and we understand the free wifi provided by most is not as fast as a home internet connection. Nonetheless, the free wifi internet at Torry Island Campground is perhaps the worst internet we have experienced. Although the signal from the router antenna seems to be strong the internet connection is unreliable at best. It is not uncommon to lost internet for an hour at a time several times throughout the day. No other options are available for a private internet upgrade (cable or dsl does not connect to the campground and is not available) Campground states that the internet system is being upgraded; however they have been stating this for the past few years with no improvement. Water has particles in the system that appear to to be rust flakes. Be sure to use an in line filter in your supply hose or camper before introduction to your rv water system.

Conclusion: Would we return? Yes, but only with upgraded internet service or options to provide through a...

This place is definitely different. Thank goodness they spray for mosquitoes nightly with the truck. We have stayed here 3 different times. Last time we had quite an adventure. My kid broke his arm ( not the parks fault) and it wasn’t that bad of a ride into the city to the big hospital. If you don’t like kinda county quite living with a little bit of partying on the weekends then you came to the wrong place. The plank is clean as far as the campsites. ( not sure if they have updated the bathrooms yet. Hopefully they have added more lots as well that are full hook up also.) love the laundry room although it would be awesome if they moved it inside the campground instead of driving out and then having to go in another gate to do laundry. We will definitely go back if ever back that way. One thing that gets me is when your on a sight and they book for this festival every year people just come in for the weekend and they try to move everyone around. That’s the only thing that bothered me. I would just set them up on what lots you could that were open and not move people that had booked months or are staying months for weekenders for that event. The lady’s in the office are sweet as can be and the campground manager is always...

If you want to get away from it all well you found the place. We have stayed at this location twice and loved it. The office employees are great. It may be hard to get in but you have plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The only thing this place needs improvements on are |The laundry needs to located within the main campground. |Bathrooms need to be updated |And the gate needs to be a wider. ||Other than that if you have bug spray and don’t the airboats on the weekends you will like it. They do get a little crazy on the weekend with the boat noise but it’s the weekend. ||Lot rent is reasonable. They don’t have a lot of shady spots so if your camper/rv gets hot during the summer this place is not for you. 90%of the campground is full sun. Lots are all grass. You allowed up to 4 people and 2 cars and they don’t charge you extra for your enclosed trailer if you have to pull one. Dogs are welcome. They have a playground and game room. They do have a golf course right outside the the campground. And have a big...

Lovely campground set among the lagoons of Lake Okeechobee; full of RVs but with more of the old "campground" spirit - more spread between sites, more grass than asphalt, more actual trees (!) - than is typical in FL. Especially suited for airboat or other flat-hulled fishermen. Positive, friendly management is busily upgrading across the board. Haven't successfully addressed the problematic wifi yet, though, the only reason no fifth star. Big, huge positive: longer stays are less here than in other nearby parks - and not by a little. Lesser negative: the town of Belle Glade is not very attractive, though groceries, fast food and fuel are all available. Bright spot amidst that negative: Belle Glade's library is a refreshing thing of beauty, with excellent free wifi, and is only a few miles away.

Lots of animals and very beautiful campground no one bothers u here the camp ground workers actually check in on u to see how u r doing and make ur stay so peaceful the path houses and laundry rooms have ac so it makes showers and doing laundry so much better if something gets broke or damaged it doesnt stay that way for long its fixed the next day as long as someone lets the campground know gated community which makes it mostly safe the only reason I give it 4 stars is because they don't have lights in the bathhouses and the outlets don't work in them, has a nice play ground and dog park plenty of doggie bags around the campground to pick up ur pets poo overall me and my family loves this place

Beautiful campground with plenty of bird life. Friendly and helpful staff. Our site was across from Scout Island and very relaxing just watching the wildlife across the water. The Moscovy ducks were always going from site to site, and even though we never fed them it was nothing to have one (or more) resting under our lawn chairs. Kayaking was a little rough from the breeze and other boats for our taste, but very nice riding bikes and walking around the pond trails.
