||All the 4 and 5 star reviews you are reading are from previous years. Silver Lake Campground was bought out in October of 2022 by Modern America Campgrounds. It had been a Family owned campground for decades and it was beautiful. My husband and I are seasonals and have been here for 5 years. This season was the worse. Grounds were not maintained. Bathrooms were not cleaned. Price increases and Management totally incompetent. In less than a season they have ruined our beautiful place. Modern America Campgrounds have scooped up many of the mom and pop campgrounds in NH, MA and Maine. If you read the new reviews for 2023 for their newly acquired campgrounds you will see how very unhappy everyone is and how people are leaving. Also never contact the facilitators at Modern America for any reason because they will scream at you on the phone, bully you and use the same words they have used for others in different campgrounds they own, "Sounds like you're not happy here. You'll need to find another campground." Then they will not offer you a contract for the following year. My husband and I have never brought a concern to anyone in the campground until the handicap shower was broken for over 5 weeks and out of order. We simply asked when it might be fixed. The facilitator was Derek at the corporate office. He has spoken to others this way too. We were told if we had any concerns to call them and the one time we did this is how he treated us and others. Modern America and their management and facilitator team have failed as owners and as human beings. My recommendation is to stay away from any campground that Modern America owns. Stick to family owned campground. You will be so much happier. The pictures below were from opening day. It looked like the dead of winter and remained this way for several weeks until we the seasonal campers started to make it look half way decent. No management to greet you either and office is...

Read moreThis was a last minute reservation for a tent site. This is a great, very reasonably priced location if you are going to Highland Mountain Bike Park. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful over the phone. Nice clean, level spot to park the truck and pop tents. Picnic table and fire ring in good order, reasonably priced firewood. Nothing in this camp is run down, the sites and all common areas are clean and well groomed. As a veteran Scout leader, I've stayed in a lot of campgrounds, and the bathrooms/showers are some of the cleanest I've ever seen, freshly painted and up to date. No loud music or partying the night we were there, but a few of our surrounding campers did stop by our fire to introduce themselves and have a chat. Very low-key, friendly vibe here. I couldn't understand how this campground could have 1-star reviews until I realized they were all from people that never stayed here but were upset by the "no dogs" policy. I personally appreciate not having to listen to some dog who has been left in a camper for 8 hours bark incessantly. It's the campground's policy. Period. If you don't like it, find another campground. Be an adult. Don't leave insults in the reviews, you are affecting someone's livelihood with your childish behavior. Okay, climbing down off my soapbox, did I mention the sunset over the lake is beautiful? If not, check out the attached photo. We will definitely be back, maybe for a cabin rental next...
