This is a very nice campground! There are many amenities that are a blast. Several bath houses/bathrooms that are very clean and nice. There is a laundry facility that works well. There is a game room, swimming pools, play grounds, on site cafe (that delivers to your parking spot for free), a store that services basic things like simple medicines (lip balm) and drinks/food (milk, Gatorade, bacon). The people are very friendly and nice. It is a gated place that you need a pass to enter. Overall it is a very luxurious feeling camp ground that is a lot of fun for kids and families. It feels very safe and nice overall! We will stay here again if we ever travel through. The only down side for us personally was, being in a pop up, we were subject to the highway noise which can at times be a tad loud but not very bad. We are heavy sleepers and got used to it fast but wanted to mention it for people to plan their location, check their site map and request to be put away from it if it bothers you. That said out location was wonderful otherwise, we were right across from the bath house and 4 sites away from the playground as we requested. They did go above and beyond in putting us at our requested area! We just didn't look at the highway location in relation to the park which was our fault, again not a big deal but might be for some. To simply it: Its a very safe and fun place to stay! We...
Read moreTerrible campground, even though it's beautiful. The kids are out of control and unsupervised. At dusk, when we pulled in, we saw an unsupervised two-year-old in a toy electric car riding around on the 1800s street, at dusk with trucks and big RV rigs pulling in and out. These electric toy cars should NOT be allowed in an RV campground. There were kids as young as three-year-olds whizzing by on bicycles, also unsupervised, at top speeds. I watched as one three-year-old in diapers almost crashed his bike into a truck, avoided it, and crashed into a cement pole instead. This is a dangerous place if you're not a kid, and definitely dangerous if you're the hapless person pulling in or out and you hit the kid in the electric car or small bike because they're not looking where they're going and are not supervised. This RV park needs to be better supervised and these electric toys should not be allowed where there are trucks and huge rigs pulling in and out. All kids on bikes, scooters, blades, etc., should have to be supervised by parents. Even the kids on non-electric scooters were going too fast and almost hit me and my dogs as I was walking them. The kids were having a great time, but if you're an adult, you're going to be on sensory overload with all this chaos going on around you. Terrible park for adults, especially if you don't have kids. This park is an accident...
Read moreIf you're in the area to see DC then this is a decent location. The park is clean, friendly, and has some nice amenities, but the high volume of TRUCK/TRAFFIC noise can be horrific! The park is almost surrounded by primary highways so it is no getting away from it. On another concerning note for me personally, this campground does not support/allow the displaying of any "First Responder Type Flags." After questioning the manager about this policy she could not give a direct answer as to why, only saying it was simpler this way but that they did allow Military flags. As a 35 year Veteran of the Virginia State Police, having endured all types of stress, heartache and loss of fellow Troopers while protecting the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I simply want to show my respect for those gone and the ones still sacrificing themselves for others everyday! As a note, this is the 2nd campground I have encountered over the last year with this "new" policy. I feel this policy is a total disgrace and slap in the face to ALL of our dedicated LEO's giving their all everyday. I will not support or patronize any business that does not support ALL OF OUR...
