Well, our time out at the A-Frame was amazing and during the summer months. We had lots of fun with family while there. There are 3 bedrooms with good space. Beds are nice, which is a plus for me. In total there were 5 of us staying there, but I'm sure there could have been more. There was my mother-in-law who stay on the main floor, my brother-in-law who stay in the upper room, and my wife, my daughter and I stayed in the downstairs room. Having the bathroom setup was a plus, no walking across the house to use the bathroom in the middle of the night for anyone. We spent most of our time in Itasca Park which isn't too far from the grounds. I absolutely enjoy the kitchen. There was also a decent grill on site as well which is always a plus. I can't stress enough that this place can also be a GREAT place for families. We enjoyed arts and crafts with our daughter while there. There's a room just for it, AMAZING idea! The place was well thought out in design and the acoustics are too good. My daughter was the alarm for everyone in the mornings. Good thing I'm a good cook and know how to make coffee asap! ;-) We enjoyed the outdoor firepit area briefly. There is an insane number of games, my daughter loved barrel of monkeys. The owners really put some detailed thought into making this an amazing experience! Definitely working out a good time to go back with family or friends! We'll be shooting for wintertime for sure, we have to enjoy that indoor firepit and hot coco! Or even renting out one of the Tiny Cabins for my family or just me and the wife! Looking forward to...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Northwoods A-frame near Itasca state park, and I have to say, it was an absolute dream! As someone who loves to explore nature and seek adventure, this location was the perfect fit. The floor-to-ceiling windows allowed me to feel fully immersed in the beauty of the surrounding area, and I even caught sight of some wildlife during my stay!

One of my favorite features was the cozy loft area, where I could retreat and focus on my work. The internet was speedy, which was such a help! And the coffee station was the perfect place to get energized for a day of work and exploring. Mary and Tyler, the owners, have truly thought of everything - the kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils you might need, a closet filled to the brim with games, and they even had multiple sound systems throughout the A-frame to enjoy.

But what really caught my eye was their maker space! It was unlike anything I've ever seen before at an Airbnb. They have shelves filled with all sorts of creative supplies - my friend and I had a blast making cards together. They also have a beautiful shed with snow shoes and other activities just a short walk from the A-frame.

All in all, we had an amazing stay at the Northwoods A-frame, and I can't recommend it enough. Mary and Tyler have truly created a space that invites you to embrace the beauty that Minnesota has to offer, and to immerse yourself in the joys of nature and adventure, and a peaceful place to rest. If you're looking for a place to unwind and explore, this is the...

The Northwoods A Frame is such an amazing space to truly disconnect, relax and enjoy some seriously well thought out design details and elements that make up one of the most beautiful spaces I have ever been in.

We thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen space, the woods right out the door, and all the kids in our group had the time of their life in the Maker’s Space.

I discovered so many beautiful things within the cabin that I would love to incorporate into my own home - including the Maker’s Space! I’ve never felt so relaxed just being in a space. I truly appreciated every well thought out detail and finish, all the way down to the amazing smelling dish soap and custom thrown pottery mugs. 😆

The A Frame is a perfect place for friends to unwind together with the separate sleeping spaces to accommodate different needs (we had two family’s each with 2 kids, 8 people total, and one family of early birds and one family of late sleepers. The layout of the cabin made it easy to make everyone comfortable and the bathtub on the lower level was great to have for the smaller kids.

I usually am “good” just experiencing a vacation home once but this place was hard to leave and it will top my list of places to return to and will undoubtably be a time and place my kids will talk about for a very long time.

Our hosts were extremely welcoming, friendly and responsive when needed.

Thank you for bringing such a wonderful place into the world for...

My husband and I stayed at the Northwoods A-Frame last August for several nights for our wedding anniversary! I'm so incredibly late writing a review, but I still wanted to! The location was absolutely perfect if you're looking for a luxury cabin in the woods with no neighbors and all the amenities you need! It was so quiet and peaceful. The cabin itself was gorgeous, so modern and impeccably designed. We enjoyed just touring each room and enjoying the decor and architecture. We loved to sit or stand in the main living area and just either read a book or play a game (they have many options available) or sit staring out at the woods as we drink our morning coffee! There's an amazing-looking art/maker's space in the basement. We didn't try our hand at that, but maybe next time. We enjoyed that it was so close to Itasca State Park, which was our main reason for going. We definitely will be back most likely in the fall or cooler time of year! The only bummer is that when we went, the black flies were bad so we didn't spent a lot of time exploring on the trails near the cabin, but we would like to to do that if we come back in the fall or winter.

Had the most incredible spring weekend with close friends while staying at this gorgeous Aframe cabin. Tyler and Mary thought of EVERYTHING. It’s such a beautiful, well decorated and cozy space. Little touches like Bluetooth speakers throughout the house, USB plugs in the outlets, light switches by the beds for easy turn off, a game closet filled floor to ceiling with games, easy entry access, any cooking and serving wear you could imagine —went so far in making us feel right at home and set this place apart from many others we’ve stayed at. We enjoyed cooking meals, playing games, having a fire at night and making a trip to the neighboring itasca state park. We can’t put into words how thankful we are to have been able to stay in such a wonderful place. Mary and Tyler are also so responsive and helpful. If you’re questioning booking just do it! Hoping to return someday and experience this magical place again!

Book it. True weekend getaway location. Absolute solitude on a beautiful heavily wooded property. Tiny cabin is very modern (I believe only 3 or 4 yrs old) extremely comfortable with great deck to wash away the stress of city living. AC was very welcome. Golf cart is a must to traverse the 100 yards to the very modern private bathroom and kitchen facility. Shared with other tiny cabin. Kitchen is fully equipped so plan to eat in during your stay. The cabins are 15 min from Itasca State Park. Take your bikes. Terrific paths for biking. Hosts were tremendously responsive. Don’t hesitate. Book. Ideal for couples looking for a romantic weekend retreat. You will leave relaxed.
