We came to Oak Point Resort for a short weekend getaway, and it did not disappoint! We stayed in the Wolf Cabin - great location and very clean! The cabins are right on the lake and offer spectacular views at sunset. The entire campground is very well kept and family friendly. We brought our 1 year old and 3.5 year old, and they loved the activities in the Lodge and the playground area. The owners are friendly and helpful - the boat launch was right at the camp site, and a great first fishing spot for our daughter. The hosts, Lee and Laura Nupson were cordial, helpful. and welcoming.||||Oak Point is ideally set up for boating enthusiasts. Dock space and boat lifts are available, and they offer gas and bait sales on site. ||||Leech Lake is enormous. At its widest points it is 26 miles east-west, and 21 miles north-south - with 450 miles of shoreline. Read moreThe cabins are awesome! All but 2 have been updated but even those are great. This resort has it all. It has a boat launch with a space for your boat, gas and bait and a lodge that the kids can go and do crafts. My daughter had her wedding there in August (a first for the owners) and it was marvelous! It is on Leech Lake and just a beautiful boat ride over to Walker! The cabins all have a fire pit. The cabins are really clean. Our wedding party rented the entire place, so we did get to see all the cabins!
