We recently concluded our second consecutive stay at Paradise Resort. Just like the first one, we were impressed by the cleanliness of our cabin, the delightful way in which it was decorated, and the sheer beauty of Moose Lake, especially in early September as summer gives way to autumn.||||There’s a lot to like about Paradise Resort, so much in fact that it’s hard to know where to begin.|| ||The cabins are the cleanest of any resort we’ve stayed at in northern Minnesota. Each cabin is topped off with Mary’s decorating magic to create a living environment that is perfect for a northern Minnesota vacation.|| ||Wade does an amazing job maintaining the physical infrastructure and grounds. Everything is clean, everything works. We are impressed with Mary and Wade’s work ethic and commitment to going the extra mile in seemingly all they do.||||Moose lake is a gem. Clear water, lots of fish, and perfectly sized so one is never overwhelmed or too far from the resort. Moose lake has a rather pastoral beauty about it. Good for fishing but also good for the soul.||||I could mention more, like the HD flat-screen TVs, Dish network, Sirius music channels, an always stocked supply of wood for the fire-pits, gas grills, proximity of the cabins to the water, a terrific beach with lots of water toys for children, beautiful lodge with food and adult beverages, the list goes on.||||Seems like many others have a similar view of Paradise Resort given the people we’ve met who return year after year. This is, perhaps, the best testimony to the virtues of this resort.|| ||If you’re looking for a great place to spend some time at the lake, seriously consider Paradise Resort. We did, and we’re already planning to return next year.||||Bruce and Jan...
Read moreWe discovered Paradise resort about three years ago. As residents of southeast Texas, we travel annually to northern Minnesota as a respite from the Texas heat. Tired of spending good money for mediocre and sometimes downright trashy cabins and resort grounds, we took a chance on Paradise resort in 2017. On our first visit, we stayed in Cabin 5. The following year, we stayed in Cabin 2. This year, our third consecutive year, we stayed in cabin 8. Cabin 8 is much larger and has more amenities, but the common theme across all three cabins is the cleanliness and manner with which they’re decorated. No matter how nice the lake or the fishing, having a nice, clean, well equipped cabin makes all the difference in the world.||||Mary and Wade continue to be the consummate resort keepers as the grounds are always neat and tidy. The fire pits are always stocked with wood, and every cabin has a private dock. I’ve gone on and on about all that is good at Paradise Resort in my previous reviews. It’s also clear that Mary and Wade have a plan for ongoing incremental improvements to the cabins and other facets of their resort infrastructure. Consequently, the resort gets better year after year.||||If you’re reading this and considering a northern Minnesota resort for next summer, check out Paradise Resort and give them a call before deciding. We did, and we’re already contemplating our return in 2020.||||Bruce and Jan...
