THINK TWICE IF YOU HAVE TO DO AN OVERNIGHT STAY AFTER HOURS as well as don't think you will be getting TheRV Space they are advertising because those spot are for PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE AND / or staying ONE NIGHT . It's basically a TRAILER PARK! I stayed sat this RV "Resort" for a few days over a week ago. FIrst, don't bother trying to call to make a reservation because they NEVER pick up the phone. Then when I finally got through to the person to make the reservation she failed to tell me that I was going to be paying full price to stay in a Gravel PIT for virtually the same price! The park is full of FULL TIME RVers that get those beautiful spots that they have pictures of and where these reviews are coming from. The enitre time I was stuck in the "pit" I watched spaces being and staying open the entire time I was there and asked about it and I was told that only people that come for one night can have those spots and the rest are Full Timers with attitude like they own the place. Then due to my Health Isssues I had to leave the PIT and get to a lower altitude asap because my Pain condition was so bad and had to BEG Them not to charge me! Which thankfully they did not because I was about ready to contact my attorney. Then two weeks later I started my drive back to BOISE but was forced to stop in BEND because my trailer was swaying due to in efficient equipment and had made arrangements to get it changed out with the RV repair shop . The only vacancy I saw after hours was at the PIT Crown Villa and got their after hours and of course I tried to call before that but no one picked up. So I just pulled into the gravel pit spot where I was before and planned on paying in the morning just like I always do if I arrive late. SInce the PIT had no dump station I decided to pull into another EMPTY SPOT and dump just like I did when I left two weeks prior and then was going to pay for the night I stayed. As I just finished up dumping Manager Mandy and the Pot Head looking kid pull up in a Golf Cart and were so clueless , did not know I stayed overnight and accused me of just pulling in the RV park and dumping! Mandy proceeds to tell me dumping is for guests and I said I KNOW , And I came in after hours the night before and was on my way to pay. They had NO CLUE I STAYED and true to accuse me of dumping and not paying and then the POT HEAD KID WITH ZERO MANAGEMENT SKILLS had the nerve to tell me to "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE AND DONT. ONE BACK" ! I told him not until I PAY .. So I went in to pay and as the girl was trying to figure out how to use the computer so I could pay. "HE CAME IN AGAIN AND SAID GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE OR IM CALLING TH POLICE!" I could not believe the way I was treated, just unbelievable, unprofessional, and it's not surprise because it's just a bunch of kids running this place. So BEWARE IF YOU PLAN ON STAYING OVERNIGHT AFTER HOURS AND BEWARE IF YOUTHINK YOU WILL BE GETTING THE SPOT THEY SHOW AND TALK ABOUT IN THEIR WEBSITE. You will be thrown into the ""OVERFLOW PIT" and expected to pay the same price, while the park is just full of people that LIVE their! They seriously just need to call it Crowne Villa RV rental property TRAILER PARK because that is all there is At this pathetically run...
Read moreIâll start with the disclaimer that we stayed at Crown Villa during some of their less popular (colder) months and were able to pay their reasonable monthly rate plus electric. While this is the nicest private campground weâve ever stayed in, we have never paid daily rates equal to what are charged here. This resort (they live up the title more than anywhere weâve stayed) offers many amenities that we donât usually and didnât make use of, but I can imagine that for other campers, they might make the higher nightly cost acceptable. CV offers huge, paved, level FHU sites, and each includes curb side trash and recycling along with propane filling (their prices are very fair & less than I normally see when offered at a CG). We had more than enough room for our RV with garage access and a designated spot for our truck. Each site also includes a covered storage shed and patio chair/table set. The mature greenery is beautiful throughout, and while there isnât much shrubbery/trees between sites, the sites are spaced far enough apart that camping feels somewhat private. Wifi is available, and while it worked okay, our Verizon was great without the booster. The CG offers tennis courts (including sports equipment), hot tub, small gym, large laundry, a few common areas (in and outdoor), and bath/shower facilities. There is a large dog run and plenty of space for walking pets around camp. The office staff couldnât be nicer or more accommodating, and they did their best to keep things available and safe during COVID with sign-ups for the gym and hot tub and masks indoors. They also allow package/mail deliveries, repair services, and RV washing. The location is convenient for reaching Bend and the surrounding areas (driving, not walking). All of Bend including the neighborhoods surrounding this CG are expanding rapidly, so while the noise from construction and nearby roads was fairly consistent during the day, it was mostly absent in the evenings/at night. We occupied two different sites during our stay and that did have an effect on ambient noise (more traffic and construction), and oddly, our second site/row consistently saw less attention from staff for trash pick-up and overall grounds care. So while our overall experience was great, I can see where experiences may vary. In all we had a great stay at Crown Villa and would definitely stay here again if the monthly rate continues to...
Read moreThis is my second winter as a fulltime RV resident here đ Great location, amenities and staff!
The RV park is queitly settled in between a few neighborhoods and a school, so it's close to the all the fun in Bend while being far enough away from the Hwy 97 road noise. The sites here have lawns on each side of the rig and backed up to a very large green space. đ˛đ˛This is a clean place with mature trees, grey squirrel, song birds, owls, and occasionally some mule deer. The fenced dog park on location is ok, buuuuut there is a very large open field adjacent to the park that is locally used as an off-leash area and easily accessible.
The new Alpenglow Community Park is an easy, safe walk with kids and dogs. Complete with manicured fields, playgrounds, paved walkways and several fenced off-leash areas, including a canine agility/ obstacle course!
The amenities are nice enough when they are open/ available/ not under construction/ operational.... The park was sold and they've been renovating almost everything, so that comes with some inconsistencies.
I really enjoy the complimentary hot beverages, the billard table, fireplace, study spaces and cozy furniture in the Club House. Their small gym got new equipment this year, and they now have a decent selection of concessions available to purchase. The 24 hour laundry room has been renovated, compete with both card and coin operated HE machines.
My interactions with the on-site staff have been mostly excellent, attentive, and polite, even as they struggle with the transition between the RV Park's renovations under the new management.
Two gentlemen really stand out to me, and both happen to be named Scott đ Those two guys keep the grounds looking clean, take care of the dog park and refill the waste station bags with haste! They're quick to take care of each site's garbage, recycling, propane refills, landscaping, etc. Requests for repairs and facility improvements have been addressed promptly. Aside from making my day-to-day easier, Scott and Scott have both been approachable, helpful, exceptionally kind to me, and genuinely made me feel like a welcomed friend đ
To the new management, earn that 5 star: Get these construction contractors to wrap up their work. There doesn't appear to be any rush and it's frustrating Take care of your staff. They work hard and I get the feeling they're not getting adequate...
