This place needs to be condemned. We chose this place because of the pictures online of the pool which must have been taken years ago as the pool was closed by the health department (there was a sign from the state by the pool) and was litterally being used as storage for old mattresses and lamps. The workout room is closed and the arcade doesn't exist and there is no restaurant like advertised either. The place was disgusting. It smelled bad like smoke, mold, and wet dog. We stayed one night with no where else to go and I wish we slept in the car because my husband and i both woke up feeling sick probably from the dirty wall unit air conditioner. The carpet was ripped up in the dingy hallways that looked like something out of a horror movie. There was only one towel in bathroom pathetically trying to cover the knife slashes in the dirty wallpaper. Tub was filthy, carpet so nasty I would not recommend walking barefoot. It was our anniversary and we paid extra for a jaccuzi in the room. Im not sure if it worked as it was so dirty we were afraid to get in it. In the room there was no coffee maker, micro wave, iron, or hair dryer, or blanket on the bed, and vending machines were empty and not working but honestly that's the least of concerns. There are residents here and true safety issues. I originally booked 2 nights based off of the photos online and quickly wanted to cancel my 2nd night stay. Front desk was rude gave me the run around tried to say eventhough I booked directly to their site I had to cancel through wyndham. I called wyndham immediately and they said that they needed to have the front desk verify to cancel asked me to hold while they called them. I walked out and heard front desk phone ringing front desk says they can't answer to authorize cancelation without a manager who would be there in the morning, it was a huge circle jerk and no one was willing to help. We only slept there didnt even shower it was just too gross. Cost almost 200 dollars for the night!! In the morning we checked out and when I asked for proof that we checked out the guy who was in the managers office who said he wasn't the manager went off on me until my husband yelled at him to not talk to me that way. It was by far the worst stay and customer service I've ever experienced to the point that I don't think I'll ever stay at a Wyndum sponsored hotel again. False advertising, terrible sanitary conditions, one night stay and i woke up sick, and rude staff, along with customer service lines to Wyndham not willlong to resolve issues. You are better off sleeping...
Read moreFirst, we arrived an hour before check in and no one was at the front desk. The girl in front of us waited like a minute then left, telling her companion let’s go somewhere else. I had reservations using 7500 Wyndham points. We waited 20 minutes then left to come back later. There were bathrooms off the lobby, so I used the facility only to discover no toilet paper in either stall. My friend didn’t want to return but I at least wanted to see the condition of the room. When we returned, there was a guy there. He advised he needed a credit card for ‘incidentals’ but couldn’t tell me how much they would charge. $60 or $70. That annoyed me, looking around, I couldn’t imagine a situation. I mentioned the bathrooms not having toilet paper and he said they’re closed but they couldn’t put signs on the door?
The room wasn’t bad. Mattresses were sealed and comfortable. No carpet which was nice. There was no coffee maker, hair dryer, plug for the tub, or closet. No ice machine. So bizarre. The balcony was nice and a must have as the AC sucked.
There was a sign about water and drinks for sale but he said they didn’t have anything. In the morning, I went down for coffee and they said no breakfast or coffee either. The pool looked operational but it was closed. That I knew from the website. All the other amenities they just didn’t have but implied they did. I read in a review that they were putting everyone on the 5th floor, and that is where we were put (507). Only one elevator was operational and it was so beat up looking, it was kinda scary. When I checked out, the kid asked how much deposit I left? It was $70 but I only knew that by checking my bank. There was nothing in the room, and nothing worth $70😡. I think I’m done with Wyndham at this point. (We cancelled our reservation for our second night in Grand Rapids at a Wyndham, which had just horrible reviews about smells and unclean accommodations. I found a Sonesta in Grand Rapids, Queen Suite for $120. Incredible deal. It saved...
Read moreWish I Could give zero stars !!!! We had stayed for a week and my husband dropped my make up bag which was in a book bag purse had about $600 worth of make up in it and when I went down to the front desk to see if anyone had turned it in the guy said that he seen it sitting by the trashcan outside so when I went outside it wasn’t there so he had called the housekeeper and asked her if she had seen it she said she put it in the dumpster in the back so me and the owner went back there and it wasn’t in there there was only three trash bags in there and she said that she threw it in one of the trash bags in the dumpster so my husband had to jump in the dumpster and go through the trash bags and it wasn’t in there and they did not do anything to help me out I asked them if they had cameras they said not on the outside but the inside and I asked them if they could look at the cameras and they were really hesitant needless to say I will never be staying their again when the housekeeper told the guy that she had threw it away she came downstairs and got an attitude with me when I didn’t even say anything to her asking why it was outside the door by the trashcan in the front in the parking lot well obviously because it got dropped and they made us jump in the dumpster and look they don’t have a lost and found they don’t try to do anything to help you out so I lost out on $600 worth of make up The fact that the owners seen it sitting outside in the parking lot and didn’t grab it just left it and then said it was basically our fault that it’s gone they don’t take any responsibility and didn’t try to help at all the housekeeper that supposedly threw it in the dumpster lives their I don’t like to point fingers and accuse People of stealing but it didn’t just grow legs and walk away so if u do stay here make sure u keep your stuff to where they can’t steal it cus when they get a...
