For the better part of almost 5 months I have been calling this campground for a seasonal spot for my 2017 trailer. I am renovating a buliding less than 5 miles away from the campground and figured the location would be very convenient. From my first call to the campground I told them the year, make, model, # of pop-out, amps needed, length of trailer, etc. and to put me on the waiting list for a seasonal spot. I was given pricing for seasonal and monthly (which I remember being $550 or $600/month). I called about every 4 - 6 weeks to check on the availability... no news. So, about 2 weeks ago I stopped by to check out the grounds to see if they had any empty locations and get a general feel for the grounds. Not modernized whatsoever, but it seemed quaint enough for my purposes... some of the permanent trailers were a bit run down, but that happens... no big deal. I stopped by the office and spoke with the ladies at the desk. They were talking with a couple who had wandered in looking for a place for their trailer. They "appeared" busy and seemd a bit frusterated even though there were 2 ladies behind the desk and only one was talking with the afrorementioned couple. I waited patiently for my turn. When I was finally addressed I explained who I was (been calling for over 4 months, on the waiting list for a seasonal spot, the make and model year of my trailer, etc). The lady with whom I was dealing seemed relieved that I was not in need of an immediate spot and that I would not need one until the middle or end of August; also that she could not help me right then and there so that relieved whatever pressure she was experiencing at that moment. I inquired about the pricing again... monthly was now $650 (busy time of the season.. ok, I get the increase). I was given a folder with info and left the campground. Last night (7/24/18) I called for a follow up on a spot. I was asked the same questions AGAIN (make, model, year, amps, length, etc.), I told them I was on their waiting list, etc. I was informed that Cliff would have to call me back. Ok. Fine. To their credit, Cliff did call me back more quickly than I had anticipated. However, when he asked me the SAME QUESTIONS AGAIN(!!!!), he laughed and said, "You didn't buy that trailer from me!". I inquired what that had to do with anything. He asked where I purchased the trailer so I told him. He then asked me why I didn't inquire with that dealership if thay had a local campround that I could use. I told him I hadn't planned on keeping it in one spot at the time of purchase and that my situation had changed with this renovation project. Cliff then informed me that he would not allow me a seasonal spot AT ALL because I did not purchase a trailer from him and that if I wanted to rent month to month it would be $750. I told him I was just there 2 weeks ago & I was told $650. He replied, "Yeah, but you didn't by the unit from me." Don't waste your time with...
Read moreOur 5 months at this campground was disappointing to say the least. Cliff tries his best to help any way he can and is generally a nice guy. He owns the rv sales and lives in the campground so is generally there if you need help with anything. The maintenance staff have been nothing but kind and helpful. The bar is ok, they have projector screens for games but is kinda pricy for alcohol, fried food and sandwiches. As for the actual grounds of the campground is very nice. The spots are generally quite spacious, the nightly spots are a little smaller. They have pull through available too. They also have a pool, mini golf, and a small playground, showers which I didn’t want to go into and a very dirty laundromat which I chose not to use and drive 25 mins each way to a different cleaner one. It’s old and dirty and there were dead bugs in the washers. As for the lady who’s actually in charge and has the final say... she is not pleasant. She threatened us and many other people that stay there multiple times. She’s hung up the phone on me I don’t know how many times. She is only actually at the campground at her convenience and I have never see her go actually into the campground, just the office. She’s very rude and will talk about her guests in a bad way even if they’re standing right behind her. When we first got there we chose the higher rate of $750 (per month) to have our electric included in the price (as oppose to $650 +metered electric) and then decided one day to stick electric bills to the door of our camper. We were still paying a lot here and turns out that the seasonal people only pay $2300 and are supposed to only be allowed there on the weekends but most were there every day so that was annoying as we paid them a total of $4186 just for our rent for less time than the seasonal people are there for. I felt they really didn’t appreciate our business and were really quite rude to almost everyone that stayed there including us. This would be a wonderful campground under different ownership. I would rather stay at a truck stop than stay...
Read morePark is outdated had no choice but to stay here due to all campground being full, Theres around 700 long term spots filled and 20 short term they have 4 washer that half the time you got to fight to use them as your paying almost 4$ to wash a load. The road needs maintenance and if you enjoy dirt and dust then your going to love this campground this is not a rv resort by no means so dont go in expecting that trees fell on on my car and truck. Lastly the manger micky is a rude vicious prejudice lady has no business being in charge of a rv park there was three very sweet ladies who worked there but I feel like they were bullied by mickey! We used the pool twice the summer and they watched us on the cameras coming out every 5 mins to let us no we stopped a crumb touched a rope the wrong way very obvious they did not want me or my family there. Whoever is the actual owner of this rv park i would truly recommend cleaning shop and getting rid of micky her lil friend shes training and her husband also invest some of the money you get for this overpriced slab of uneven rocks without anything to over but trees dirt and ignorance into your park. Also i left this Saturday my rent was not up until the 1st October so i left my rv for transport to pick up today Sunday, when they found this out they were throwing a fit saying i have to be there so fourth well before we left we made sure they had transports guys name number all that good stuff and today they called my guy was 30 mins out telling me my spot was rented and someone was coming to park there trailer onto it (mind you theres 30 spots open) and my trailer needed to be moved! Now not later so they played dumb when the guy got there like they didnt no of him coming and wasnt going to let him in the back long story short take your money and spend it else where I was asked to leave a review and heres my honest i would never return to this outdated 1980s rv park as long as i have...
