I will have to say I’m very sorry I’m writing this review. This is a very nice Campgrond but has poor customer service. We camped in our RV and friends stayed in the cabin. When they checked into the cabin it had been very poorly cleaned and needed some handyman care, blinds falling off windows and doors and door lock wouldn’t work. They reported the issues but got very little interaction so they just cleaned themselves. On their next day after returning from sightseeing the town the AC had froze up.After calling the office someone came out and said sorry we can’t fix it tonight and we’re not offered other accommodations. They were only offered their cleaning deposit back, which they would have gotten anyway. They also found out while they were out,the maintenance guy attempted to fix blinds while they were gone and were not notified at all he was entering the cabin while they were gone. Our friends left early due to the AC issue (very hot wknd). They ask for a refund and got nothing!

This is our 2nd year staying here with an RV that does have its own bathroom. The sites are enormous and relatively level and the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the pool last year. I do think it would be nice if they updated the playground but we come here basically to sleep and go to the beach each day so it’s not really essential to us. It’s a bare bones RV campground but you can’t beat the price or location and we have had no issues with service any time we have called or stopped in to the store. It is quiet and so peaceful, and we have not had any issues with biting insects on either trip in early August. A side note— every other campground close to here is now owned by Sun Outdoors. They crank the prices and have a two dog limit. We have 3 small dogs (less than 25 lbs total) and it’s nice to not have to worry about having them all sitting outside with us here. We really appreciate that.

Very quiet rv campground. Staff is excellent. We spent a few days there (7/19/19-7/22/19). We had site 96 and it fit our 40’ 5th wheel very nice. We had shade most of the day and it was very easy to back in. Not a whole lot to do here. There is a pool, a swimmable pond and a general store. There is also a salt water lagoon channel for a nice kayak ride or crabbing. Very close to the Ocean City inker area. Maybe only 20 minutes away. I would stay here again!

Hostile staff. Would rate 0 if I could.

Pros: Great environment, facility. Cons: Hostile staff, and their owner is very un-flexible.

Story to share: We rented two cabins last summer, have two families with two 2 year olds, enjoyed the stay until the date of checking out. We were aware that we had to be out by certain time and 2 hours before that we realized that we will be little later than that time, so we called the front desk and made sure they are aware of it. We were told by the front desk there's a late check out fee so we gladly accepted it, little do we know, by the original check out time, the staff/owner were by our doors trying to chase us out, and they literally were in front of our property staring our moves. It was frustrating because front desk clearly told us it was okay to stay a bit late as long as we pay late fees which we did, still we were rushed out of the property dragging two kids with us (you know how it goes with little ones). That was last year, we didn't make a big deal of it because we were giving them the benefit out the doubt and were trying to be understanding.

However come today, a whole calendar year later, I was calling to book the cabins again (given the history which we completely thought was a misunderstanding and still are willing to give them the business), little do I know, the owner had put a note under my name (black list or some sort) claiming that we were refusing to check out/vacant the cabins last year therefore they are not willing to rent to us ever again! I was utterly shocked by the totally false claim. The front desk receptionist was refusing to connect me directly to their manager/owner, just kept telling me to take our business else where. I was calmly telling here there has to be a misunderstanding because that's not what happened and they were not willing to discuss.

From other reviews I have read that the owner could be stubborn some when it comes to policy but was not expecting the false information claimed by the owner/staff.

Word of advice, if you ever think you would be even a minute or two late checking out, or need to cancel the trip or reschedule, this is not the campground for you, this one has proven to be not flexible and if you ever in their eyes "violate" of their rules, you will be black listed.

If you have kids and willing to pay a little extra for quality service, check out the SUN OUTDOORS not too far from them and you maybe surprised in a good way. Have a...

BEWARE!!!!! We had reservations for the weekend. I called on Wednesday to let them know we couldn't make it since our truck broke down. The lady who answered the phone laughed as if it was funny?? She told me they could not refund my money but we could reschedule sometime between now and the end of the year BUT I had to call back before they closed at 9pm and tell them when I would be coming in. First, anytime I have had to reschedule campgrounds give you one years time frame to do so and secondly the truck shops around us are booking 2-3 weeks out before they can even diagnose the issue which I told her and I just couldn't give a date at this time. On Saturday after we "failed" to check in Rod Ewell the manager of the establishment called and asked why we had not checked in. I advised him we had called to state we could not check in due to truck issues and I told him about the conversation I had with the woman on Wednesday. He start cussing at me saying it was bull s@?t and other Obscenities. Very confused as to why he flew off the handle I tried to remain calm and understand what/why/where he was coming from. Long story short I, who had no control over our truck breaking down, had set him off for not checking in and for his staff not notating that I had called to advise them of the situation. He then began to pressure me as to when we would rebook. If I had that answer I would have done so on Wednesday when I called but I have no idea what is wrong with our hauling vehicle or what it will cost to fix it or the time frame within in which it will get fixed. I can't be the only person who have had this happen to them in the history of time and asked them to use a little understanding and compassion until we can work through this issue. I can not believe this place has got a good review with the severe lack of people/communication skills. I hope that William Robert K Ewell and Julia B Ewell know the way that patrons are being treated at there establishment if they don't they will now and if they do they should get there unprofessional staff under control before someone in this sue happy nation...

When leaving the campground I was cussed at in front of my children. I intended to take my kids to the pool for about an hour and a half before we got on the road ( I assumed like most facilities, the amenities were available for your use after check out). Someone came into the pool area and called out my name and I acknowledged. I was told that check out was at noon (this was about 12:45) and I needed to stop in the office. I apologized and told them that I had already vacated the camp site at the requested time. I proceeded to go to the office to check out and as soon as I walked in the door I was told I was good and that normally they charge $3/hour for over staying your time limit and that the facility was for guests still checked in. I apologized to the 2nd person and offered to pay them for the time that I was there or wanted to stay. I was told to not worry about it. When I returned to the pool, the first man approached me again and asked if I squared up with the office. I said I did and that I even offered to pay for my time over and was told not to worry about it. Just a couple of minutes later I overheard the man on the phone talking about me and he again approached me and said that I was lying about offering to pay (that the lady in the office said I didnt offer) and that was "F'ed Up". I told him I did offer and not to speak that way in front of my children (2 and 4 yrs old) or my niece and nephew at which time I was told I needed to leave his property. I am only assuming this is one of the owners but was very unprofessional and downright uncalled for. For the record, I rented a camp site for the entire weekend, and he treated me this way over the apparent misunderstanding of $6 for 2 hours over the check out time. I will never be back...
