As a person who FREQUENTLY stays in low-end motels, this one wins the worst place we have stayed. First, they run on Arizona time even though they are in Utah. That includes check-in, check-out and breakfast hours. It gets confusing because your phone will tell you Utah time and your hotel is not running on that time. Second, they have the weirdest rooms I've ever seen. We got 229 down in the employee residence/laundry area. There are people who live there, including small children. It felt like we were staying in a low-income housing apartment complex. Two of the kids were singing outside our room window on a porch swing until 11:30 pm. Third, the choice hotels app lies when it says that every room has a microwave and a work desk. I have food allergies and I have to bring my own food. If we had known that we could not heat up food in the room we would have looked elsewhere. As it was, we had to leave our building, walk upstairs and down the hall to the lobby to heat anything up. Rooms in the main building would be closer to use the microwave in the lobby. Fourth, we were locked out of our room when we came back from the Lake on the second day. We showed up at the door ready to shower and get into bed when we could not get into the room. Had to go to the lobby to get inside. Fifth, the room was not cleaned. I actually like not having the cleaning crew touching the bed and pillows after I check into a room but I do like to have the trash emptied. Nope, we got new towels (which I was pleasantly surprised about) and our trash piled up. Sixth, we had not yet checked out and it was BEFORE checkout time, we were packing things and suddenly a woman enters the room. No knock, just a woman entering our room. Yep, it was the cleaning person ready to clean our room. "Sorry, I thought you had checked out. Take your time, check out is at 11:00." Hmmmm, apparently she did not mean what she said since she kept coming back to the room every minute. After the room was completely empty she was waiting in the hall and asked if she could start cleaning the room. I told her that I was going to use the rest room before I checked out. She said ok, no problem. Two minutes later when I returned to the room she was in there playing her music and tearing down the bed. She told me it was ok to use the rest room. I was so happy to leave the keys on the dresser and get out of there.

Positives: Fast wi-fi Hot/fresh waffle breakfast with juices and coffee.(I did not eat it but it was available) Great location Good air conditioner

We saw some of the other rooms in the main building and they looked better than room 229. Let's hope you do not get locked out of your room, no matter which one they assign...

Never again!!!

First, I will say me staying here was completely my fault. I changed my Labor Day travel plans and needed a hotel room. This was the only place near Page AZ that had a vacancy so I booked it.

The woman working the front desk was friendly and helpful but that could not make up for a room that should never be rented.

Upon entry there was a huge dead bug. It had been dead a while which only serves to remind you how frequently they clean the rooms. There was a thick layer of dust on the headboard. A smell of rotting animal but neither one of us wanted to look under the bed. The furniture had seen better days and we had to ask for a lamp for the nightstand as the room was extremely dark.

Had to call the front desk to fix the TV, they were very prompt to respond and resolved the issue.

The AC did not work at all and the office had closed for the evening. Kind of important to have a functional AC when you are in the desert. There were towels being used in lieu of caulking.

The bathroom faucet initially sprayed everywhere but got a little better after several uses. However, the shower did not work, seriously?!

The place is poorly lit and leaves you feeling a little less safe. No lighting in the back and side parking lots and the hallway...

A nice, cheap place to stay if you need a break on the road. The bed was comfortable, it had free parking right outside the rooms, the TV was nice and there was a fridge. The area is a little out, closest town with food is a 20 minutes drive to Page, AZ (which crosses a time zone and goes back 1 hour, just to warn everyone). The remoteness can be annoying but we actually quite enjoyed it as we got a great view of the stars.

There were a few issues such as the coffee machine being down, the ice machine being down for cleaning and the dryer in the laundry room took AGES to dry our clothes, we had to put so many quarters in. The water pressure in the shower is a little too hard and my partner ran out of hot water when showering after me. The lock on the bathroom door was not working. The hotel had a slightly odd smell, I think it’s something they burn to mask another smell, not sure what though.

It wasn’t an amazing stay but it is a great place to rest a while if you’re looking to not spend...

My family and I stayed here for just a few hours to rest. When we woke up and took the blankets off my two small sons, we saw bed bugs crawling all over them. The bed bugs were so full of blood that when my sons had moved during their sleep they had popped some of the bugs and the sheets and my sons were covered in blood. When we tried to get the hostess to help us, at first she refused. I called the police which told me she gave me a fake name. She refuses to give me the owners contact information and she is saying she won’t give me a refund. We had to throw away our clothes and my baby’s most favorite blanket that he’s had since birth. Not only that, both of my sons are covered in bed bug bites from head to toe. When I try to call the hotel to request the owners information or a status on my refund I’m hung up on. This was absolutely disgusting and my babies don’t understand why they’re covered in bites and itch.
