Im putting this first for the owner. We did not reach out and say anything because why would i? Every review has the same issue but clearly the owner is not proud of the business enough to actually do something. As a business owner, there is no pride in this facility. We purched the condo #6, 3 day 2 night for over $600. The dishes were dirty but put away, the bed smelled and was not cleaned, pillows smelled the same, dust and cobwebs everywhere, spider webs everywhere, sink backed up, there was no toilet paper upon arrival, pinching bugs EVERYWHERE. Absolutely infested. We seen a roach granted it was on the attached enclosed porch, it stunk, it was absolutely 1000% not cleaned. It was miserable. The showers were disgusting. The guy that brought the extra towels and toilet paper was friendly. The location was night with access to the water, the sand was nasty due to thw way the water was pushing in.

Definitely happy with this place. We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. Our room had a sun room which was perfect for all of our shenanigans. All 8 of us fit into the sun room comfortably. The rooms were very clean and had an awesome loft area that was perfect for our bride. You could see the beautiful bay from the motel and they also had a great fire pit area. I would have to say that the best part was the amazing customer service. With us crazy 8 girls constantly having questions or needing help with something, Kevin the owner was always very helpful no matter what time of day or night. I think this place would also be amazing for a little couples retreat. You can drive right into the country to winery's as well as into traverse city. I will definitely be choosing this motel when my husband and I come back up north. & possibly be back for another girls trip!

We booked a couple of nights to get away and do some wine tasting in the area. We like staying at old motels and supporting local businesses. We arrived and our room was pretty much as expected. The room was ready an must have been just serviced because the towels were still warm. It was a basic two beds and a bathroom. The room had an smell that wasn't pleasent. We kind of got nose blind pretty quick but, still very noticable when entering the room. Both beds were pretty lopsided from bit being turned often and the pillows are way to soft. Good channel selection on the TV. Great hot water supply. AC and heater both work great. If it were not for the smell upon entering the room I would give the room a higher score. But, if you need a room close to winerys and beautiful north country, give M22 a try.

This hotel was one of the worst experiences of my life! I never write reviews and told the "inn keeper" as much on the phone when I was unable to reach the owner. So many nats in our room I lterally had to shake them off my clothes to pack. I've never seen anything like this. IT WAS SO BAD I almost backed up and left in the night. When I spoke with the person on the phone about this complaint she yelled (not raised her voice) yelled that this is how it is here this time of year and that I had too much food in our room to be clear I took my own trash out (to the dumpster not 50 feet from my room) everytime we had a bite to eat never left open food in the room but she had the gall to tell me she emptied food out of our garbage can when cleaning We had a few items left in the refrigirator on the morning of our departure so we put them in the waste can in our room. Other than this no food was left in the room. I felt so insulted, degraded, and made to feel like this was my fault. To be clear during the conversation (before she hung up on me) she admitted to trying to get rid of the bugs in the rooms and that we should not have had so much food in the room! I couldnt believe this. Also to say thats just the way it is here this time of year. To conclude I will say I live on the lake in the lower part of the state and I confess I eat bagels in my home but I have never had to shake hundreds of nats off my clothing to get dressed...

DO NOT STAY HERE!! #1. Overall cleanliness was very unsatisfactory #2. Stained and Dirty carpeting #3. Stained cushions #4. No working heat for the room (ongoing issue, not a new issue) and solution was a portable heater. #5.Grounds were not maintained. #6.RODENTS… YES, MICE. Multiple mice living in the walls of the building crawling in and out of holes in the poorly maintained building. *When we brought this to their attention and explained our concerns with continuing our stay we ask if they could accommodate any refund for the 2nd night that we would not be using. Mind you, this incident occurred in the morning, and we were vacating we in the morning hours. When the “General Manager “ David returned our call he abruptly did not offer any accommodations and continued to say “What do expect you are up north” and “we should be happy with the rates we were given due to Covid” Speaking of Covid... With business being closed and just recently reopening, they had every opportunity to clean and no necessary repairs and updates. And with the Health guidelines that are required for all business to follow I would think they would be in violation with the current conditions of this property. We, left without a refund of any kind and booked the Comfort Inn for the same price which was not only clean, had a great friendly staff, a shuttle service, and an open pool. Most importantly it was...

The room itself is large and spacious, with a comfortable bed, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The space feels extremely sterile, with very sparse furnishings and no decor to speak of. It’s as if the room is unfinished, leaving it devoid of any warmth or character.

One major issue is the air conditioning unit. It’s mounted on the wall directly above the bed, and it’s impossible to sleep through the noise. For anyone staying during the hot Michigan summer, this is a serious drawback.

The kitchenette was also disappointing. It was poorly equipped, with only two frying pans that were completely unusable, and the oven and stovetop were dirty. The lack of basic amenities like wine glasses (which we had to request) and a complete set of plates and bowls is unacceptable. Providing only plastic tumblers instead of proper glassware was another letdown.

While the place appears newly renovated and has a nice little deck, the view is ruined by a tarp-covered storage shed that blocks the lake. It’s quite an eyesore.

Additionally, potential guests should be aware that there are trailers on the property, giving the impression that it doubles as a trailer park.

Overall, the stay fell short of expectations, and there’s significant room for improvement. With some attention to detail and better amenities, this could be a much more comfortable and...
