This is no longer Beachwood. Bought by an out of state company which is not in tune with Northwest camping, sites are sanitized of trees and shrubbery which provide privacy. As their main corporate business is transient visitors, previous (& current) members are not priority: we were told at the entry that there will be no newsletter and no activities scheduled. LODGING Despite company statements and pictures in their summary, ALL rental trailers have been removed from their previous sites, serving workers instead of members or guests. Their vision sees uniform & centralized utility and water hookups, leading the sites to appear visually smaller row after row. CLOSED Work on the camp continues. Whole camping sections G, H & tenting, the youth clubhouse and the adult pool & both spas are still closed. NEARBY At the south end of the camp, a fully equipped general store offers what you may have forgotten alongside sushi and sake. Of course lovely Birch Bay and the State Park waterfront are nearby. And the ice cream & sweets "C" shop is just down the hill!

Cabin was really run down. Was advertised as a 3 bedroom cabin but more like a 1 one bedroom with two large closets with homemade bunk beds. We were 4 adults and 3 children and felt like we were cramped. Couldn't imagine having the true 9 people they said could fit in there. The door lock didn't work, I thought maybe I was given the wrong key so I asked the office about it. The office attendant was like " Oh yeah I think I remember something about the lock on 103 not working" and said might be able to get someone to look at it the morning which never happened. We left our expensive stuff in the locked car if we left. We were only there for 2 nights as part of a longer trip. If it would have been a longer stay I would have left and found another place. The pictures are from when we checked out so that's why the beds are a mess. Picture with the couch shows bedroom 2 to the left and bedroom 3 to the right. Bedroom 2 is a twin top bunk and full bottom bunk. Bedroom 4 is two twin bunks.

We visited this Members-only RV resort in February 2021. Everything was closed for the season of course, but the park has a great deal to offer. The staff - Especially Rudy - were friendly and helpful. There are a wide variety of Large RV and Tent sites, both full-hookups and Drycamping, as well as some park models and tiny homes for rental use. Great access to ocean views from several spots, and the towns of Blaine and Bellingham are nearby. The park is guarded by a gate and roaming security. The only downside was there are no campfire pits due to fire codes. Members are welcome to bring their own gas-fired campfires however. All in all, I'd recommend this park to my friends - Even in February!

Beachwood RV Resort is run totally by incompetent scum of the earth, their ethics are diabolical. We made a reservation on August 4/17 @ 9:11 am for eight nights which I have proof of, with a conformation number & also a phone bill with the time spent on the phone (see attached picture). We pulled into the park and were told "park anywhere" then let us know which spot you have chosen, which we did, they gave us tickets to hang in the windows of our truck & trailer, no mention of us not having a reservation. The day before we were due to leave someone came around while we were out and left a letter taped to our trailer saying "if we you not out within one hour we would receive a $250 fine" we did not leave as I quoted the reservation number to the security, to which they said the reservation was made the day we arrived, which is total garbage. (who has ever heard of anyone giving you a reservation number when you arrive at a place) we stayed for our last night, and just as we left the security came around and hung a sign on the spot we stayed in saying reserved, yet when we asked a 10 year member about reserving a certain spot they told us "you can't reserve a certain spot, only a place in the park, they apparently tried to do this some years back but couldn't make it work, (doesn't surprise me) I have phoned numerous times since returning home to try and sort this situation, only to be told the fine will stand. The person I spoke to in the end (Justin) is the most ignorant person anyone could wish to deal with. The park itself is a dust pit which is in a very poor state of repair with dirty washrooms, very over crowded, units parked so close together if there had of been fire it would have been an inferno, landscaping is atrocious with weeds and dandelions growing throughout. This was our first time at the park, we have been members for two years, the way we were treated was appalling and we certainly would not go back. This is not the first time we have been screwed by this organization we were told when we joined that we would get two weeks on a site in California as a bonus for joining and we only got one, guess we shouldn't have expected too much from this place after the first issue. Lesson well learned be super careful when you buy in to a timeshare. If anyone is interested getting a class action lawsuit against this...

Overall the park is sufficient, sites for the most part is spacious did not use the pool or hot tub so not able to comment on those. I would recommend filling propane tank elsewhere as they charge by the tank regardless how much you need the cost is $21.50 for a 20 gal. Just upgraded my membership to “Legacy” to enjoy all the parks present and future I decided to stay at Beachwood with this being my first time here boy did I get a rude awaking I left for 4 hours to go into Lynden only to come back and find a ticket on my door for $150 this citation was for “Unattended RV” and encroachment items on other site? It seems my tarp that I used to cover my items was over the log which was on the very back corner of my RV which Ethan and Lylia (security that wrote the ticket) moved all my belongings and placed in front of my RV door to which I had to move to get into my RV and 99% of these items were on my site. I have a 2018 RV and all my items are new and expensive so I always cover them (1) so they don’t fall prey to sticky fingers and (2)/if it rains while I’m out sightseeing there not going to get wet. Anyway I went to the office only to find out the guys really didn’t care I was told to go to the sales office the next day to plead my case, I spoke with Chris that Sunday evening he told me that the rules were strictly enforced if I abandoned my RV for 24 hours there was a citation I mentioned to Chris that I was only gone 4 hours and had plenty of witnesses that would testify. Chris mentioned that Lylia was the GM and good at what she does and to disregard the ticket? This didn’t settle well with me and doubt that I’ll be back for fear if I go into town that I may have another $150 on my door. This ruined my trip. since I don’t feel comfortable here, just beware. An update I spoke with Ethan (security)this morning as to why I was given a $150 citation he’s comment was when security approached my RV knocked on the door no one answered and no car they assumed it was abandoned Ethan told me that once the RV is parked we can only leave for no more than an hour that we need to be with the RV at all times? This is the most unheard thing since camping is suppose to be for enjoyment and not a...

The saltwater pool is amazing! As for the property in general, comparatively speaking, when you take a collective looking at the local TV communities in the Blaine / Birch Bay area...Beachwood stands out as a whole new world of what we have been missing in many of the other parks in the area. The amenities offered at Beachwood are head and shoulders above the other local parks. A well thought out & planned community with an eclectic mix of cabins, vintage, well-kept & "campy" modular and mobile homes in a beautiful park-like setting with sprawling lawns and old-growth trees in accordance with all the best that our unique & beautiful geographical location in the midst of the beaches, the forests and mountains in the distance! Perhaps one of the most awesome-sauce and very unique things that I have to point out is that the sites here are some of the most spacious, serene (nestled in the treeline that surrounds most of the property),well equipped & even offer up a bit of privacy... where they are not stacking RVs in there so closely that you can literally open your window & lick your neighbor all in one fail swoop...and that's saying something as many of the others in the area seem to have a similar template and it gets closer than I am comfortable with, that's FO SHO!!! I will wrap up this loquacious review with the following information: The many awesome amenities that are offered up @ Beachwood Resort are now available for the use of US locals and they are offering a chance to have FULL access to the amenities with a lifetime "day use" membership in which you & your family are all able to make the most of the pools, hot tubs, sauna, gym, tennis courts, soccer fields, clubhouses and the rest of Beachwood's cool goods! Call Rudy and get the lowdown on the spectrum of benefits that are offered up with this unique membership!!! (Oh, and NO.... I am NOT an employee, related to one nor do I have a vested interest in the property in ANY way... I just spit it...
