This is one of our favorite campgrounds. It’s a hidden gem a short drive from the town of Bishop, CA. ||Lake Sabrina is a short drive away- popular for fishing and boat rentals, and for the beautiful 2.6 mile hike up to Blue Lake. ||It’s small, well maintained, and has flush toilets. The best part is that Bishop Creek runs through it, and almost all of the campsites have access to it. ||Sites #4 and #6 are my favorites because they’re very private. | |#6 is very large- you could fit 3 tents. The creek’s edge is right there in the site. There’s also a lot of shade- it doesn’t get any sun during the day. ||#4 does get some sun, but it also has shade, so it’s a nice balance. It’s smaller than #6 but still large and very private. The creek access isn’t directly in the site, but a short stroll away. ||#10 is also private and large, but I haven’t seen it up close. ||If you don’t care so much about privacy, there are several really great sites with creek access. ||All sites have large, flat tent spaces, fire pits, tables and bear boxes. Read moreGreat group campground. Loved the stream right next to it and the spot was amazing. Guys that maintain the campground were fantastic! Super friendly and came check on us a few times. Asked if we want bathrooms cleaned every day and such. The only minus of this campground is being located next to the highway/main road. Be prepared for people to stop by and assume they can camp there with you free of charge. We had someone pitch a tent on the farther side of the campground mid night and trying to leave before we wake up. When we saw them and asked what are they doing, they said they had no idea it was taken, and that they didn't see our tent or car. And they thought you can just camp anywhere here. But the spot definitely worth it. Despite the frustration with constant intruders. Views are amazing! During the day it gets hot though, so bring a canopy to hide under. Imho, group campground needs signage specifying nightly price and regulations for the spot. We had a bit of a trouble finding...
Read moreAs always, it was amazing staying here. Which is why we always come back! The cleanest bathrooms and facility, the nicest campground employees. He was so accommodating and welcoming and worked hard to make everything great for everyone! The sound of the creek at night, waking up to deers in the morning and the perfect place if you want to bring your four legged friends. We caught trout everyday and everything you need is located within a few miles. Cell service of course is zero, but it's so nice to disconnect and be here. Can't wait to come...
