I've been to Asheville and the Black Mountain area so many times, but I've never stayed in a place like this. Black Mountain Cross definitely stands out as *the* most beautiful place in the area. The Scandinavian design is such a refreshing and welcomed change compared to your typical cabin you come across. It's evident that this house was built with the intention to be a space that is calming and refreshing while capturing the incredible mountain view from every single room (you can even see Mt. Mitchell!). I stayed here with a group of friends (12 in total including 4 kids) and it was more than enough room. The kitchen is fully equipped and was hands down the most gorgeous kitchen I've ever cooked in. The 12 person hot tub was definitely the highlight. Enjoyed a nice cocktail looking out to the mountains with our closest friends. Oh, and there's a room right next to the hot tub specifically intended for towels and to dry off, so you don't drip water everywhere, what a brilliant feature! Stones throw to downtown Black Mountain, a very quaint town, and just 30 minutes to downtown Asheville. We will never stay anywhere else other than Black Mountain Cross moving forward.

Looking for a place to unwind from the rat race, focus on what’s important, and make some memories - this is the place. I just spent the weekend here enjoying fellowship with my soon to be married daughter, her fiancé, the new in-laws, and siblings and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Space was open and inviting. The giant sliding door windows bring the stunning views right in to the living room. To top it off, the fire table on the nicely furnished side patio was the centerpiece for great conversations late in to the night. The kitchen, living space, and bedrooms were all top notch, well stocked, and comfortable. Enjoyed some classic video games on the arcade machine and played a few rounds of ping pong with the kids. Lastly, I have to mention the windows - every bedroom includes the same ceiling to floor windows to take in the stunning views first thing in the morning. It was like waking up to a giant landscape mural every morning. I will be back!

Stayed here last month and wow oh wow was it perfection. The sunny living room, the ping pong table, and the hot tub being the highlights of our trip. Our room was comfortable and looking out at the mountains every morning was such a treat. The water pressure in the shower was great (these things are important you know,) the kitchen was wonderful to cook meals in, and playing our music over the surround sound system in the morning made our stay! Such a drivable time from there to Asheville as well. Popped over to see a concert there Friday night and then came back the day we departed to eat the best biscuit I’ve ever had at the Biscuit Head. I highly recommend this spacious and darkly beautiful home, nestled at the end of the mountain drive. We even happened upon a waterfall near the house day one of our stay! Magical in every way.
