High Rock Rentals - NC Luxury Log Cabin Vacation Rentals — Hotel in Black Mountain

What a marvelous place! We stayed at Hideaway at High Rock for two weeks after Thanksgiving. It was magical. The cabin was well appointed and ideally situated for our family of four (plus a dog who now regards herself as something of a mountain lion). The kitchen is well supplied. The kids (four and eight) sledded down the back hill, stomped in the creek, hiked the trails, created an excellent mud/snow kitchen and even played small-field soccer in the grass behind the cabin. This was the perfect COVID hideaway with Black Mountain and Ashville conveniently close. Though we are flatlanders from Florida, we did not have any problems navigating the gravel road with our front-wheel drive minivan. For the day and a half it snowed, we simply planned ahead, stocked up and enjoyed the winter wonderland. The internet/WiFi was fast and reliable, which allowed us to stay current with work and school. Mike and his team and family were unfailingly responsive, helpful and kind. The most important review comes from our kids, who are begging to return next year.

Since our first trip in late 2020, we have returned to High Rock multiple times, staying at Hideaway, Timber Ridge and Creekside. It remains our favorite destination. The Rosemans are wonderful hosts and the cabins are clean, well equipped and ideally situated. Creekside at High Rock has been the saving grace to our vacation! Form the airline to rental agencies it has been a story! But our home rental we got 110% right. What a magical place for my girls to experience snow for the fist time. Some advice from a first timer: 1: Book one of these cabins on High Rock Rentals (ours is perfect for a family of 5) Number two needs this PAY ATTENTION ** In the winter months DO NOT mess around! Get the 4x4 vehicle you won’t regret it when you easily get up the snowy/icy mountain. It has been a winter wonderland up here! It’s not an exaggeration though you need a vehicle that’s serious! I would not trust the Asheville airport rental agencies. Specifically in our case HERTZ. They will over promise and under sell. (With no remorse or resolution) My suggestion is to use TURO you’ll get exactly what you are paying for. There is an Ingles Grocery store very close before you head up to your wonderful escape. The kitchen is stocked with the essentials, so get what you need and you never have to leave!

I think this is the last point. Hopefully, you won’t need management, but if you do please know my girls who had very brief interactions with Mr. Mike think “he’s a really nice guy!” and we agree with the girls! Above and beyond great customer service.

The cabin" Gift from grandmother" was the best choice. Near to all attractions . My family of 3 have a great 4 days. The cabin will be perfect for honeymooners too, with jacuzzi inside and jacuzzi outside with a great view. November 2022 was perfect, weather was excellent and the view is nature and birds. The cabin was equipped with full kitchen, doble fridge, oven, microwave,dishwasher,all dinnerware and glassware.also big washer and dryer witch make the stay perfect. A living room with tv and the sofa is a bed for two kids or couple. Upstairs is the master and bathroom ,shower,jacuzzi. And the best poll table !! A pluss to entertain everyone. If you choose this cabin a tip: they supply with small detergent you need to bring sponge to wash plates. They give 2 small micro towels and a roll of paper towel for dishes If you planning to cook as I did everything is included but you need aluminum disposable trays to cook in the oven. They supply with small powder to wash clothes, also iron and few garbage bags. The supermarket is 5 min aways to do a shopping for your stay. Is like the name say a grandma house, a cabin with all you need to be comfortable. Cons: I will give management some suggestions to improve the quality of housekeeping service so for now I will not comment. Hope you enjoyed it as my family did with...
