Evergreen Motel — Hotel in Bluegrass Region

This place was a total slum. The owners were very courteous and likable until they took our money for a week stay. The room was absolutely filthy; we had to go to the Wal-Mart up the road to get cleaning supplies to clean it ourselves before we brought our things in as they refused to refund our money even though we just paid and hadn't moved our things in yet. We had a rat come from a hole in the wall under the air conditioning unit. My husband woke up to a cockroach crawling over over his face and we ended up leaving early the first morning we woke there due to bites of some kind all over my children. Again, they refused to offer us a refund even for the next 6 nights we paid for. I've never dealt with such a horrible place in my entire life. If there was an option for less than one star that's what they'd get. This place is a complete slum. I'm disgusted with the situation and we will be taking legal action against these people. I will give it a 1 because it was as clean as it could be. The door did not close and roaches and spiders came in the holes. It’s smells like damp dirty towels. The bed seems to have bed bugs i itched all night. I was in a severe storm traveling and just stopped on highway 27 late at night. He (owner from india ) nit sure but saw me coming charged me 164 bucks in a Tuesday night because he saw my out of state plates. Spiders and gross bathroom with rusty handles. He never had put a dollar into this motel. Don’t stop just don’t do it. I ended up sleeping in a tent air bnb the next night it was better and I could control the spiders. Disappointing Hilton is five star hotel only 120 bucks. I should of just turned around I was close to Cynthiana. Just go look in the bathroom of one room he never ever replaced any faucets a lot of rust and holes all in the floor for roaches to come up. A friend of mine booked this motel for a girls “trip” during witches day out in Cynthiana. So owner no, you won’t find my name on the list of recent guests. However, this review is in good fun. Now, if you are looking for a place, that’s spooky and questionable. THIS IS IT! The whole point of our girls trip was to find the creepiest, most shady motel… and we did. Now, shady doesn’t mean the owners. They were VERY VERY NICE. You can tell they are invested and care but…. Let’s be honest. The rooms were nicotine lined, burnt holes in the bedding, spiders crawling out the bed. Like, what we wanted! lol in real time! We laughed, we had fun & we made it to the next day.
