On the right conditions, this mountain is fantastic for beginners and experts alike...but only in those conditions.
On a fresh powder day with the Sun out this place is exactly like one of it's black diamond runs "Upper Paradise". On a bad day, the way the mountain is formed-no fault of the Bogus Basin staff- causes a lot of shade to fall on the best runs and creates some really harrowing icy runs.
The mountain offers some alright food and retail -even if it's overpriced for sure- to help fund itself. But the staff can be like the mountain conditions; fluffy and fun on one side, and cold and icy on the other. This is a complaint no two ways about it. No specifics needed, the front side staff can be less cool than the backside staff. Barking at people, insisting on seeing the badges of repeated skiers and snowboarders they've already checked, and not smiling-ever- kills the vibe on the way up to your run. This is made more noticable when compared with the backside staff who ask how you're doing, what your run was like, fist bumps, ect.
I have had awesome times on this mountain and will keep going, but if you are considering definitly pick up a discount before you go from jacksons if they are stlll doing that, and check weather conditions to make sure its an awesome day on...
Read moreI would never want to go skiing or snowboarding anywhere else! The snow is fantastic and the staff is so friendly! Their goal is to make sure you have a good time and they do just that! The roller coaster is super fun and it's price is low! The runs are well groomed and plentiful! Over 90 runs, going from Green circle (super easy) to double black diamonds (expert), so you have a wide variety of runs to choose from. Their are multiple lifts and they are quick, comfortable, and most hold 4 people at a time. They have this down to a science! I have been going there for years, 12 to be exact, and I will never love any place more! I've been to many ski resorts, and this one easily beats them all by a long shot! So many places of untouched powder to go through! There's a lot of Alpine, freestyle, and Nordic skiing/ snowboarding that you can do! I still haven't entirely explored Bogus Basin! If you haven't gone yet, then go have a great day! If you have already gone to Bogus Basin, then go have another great day! I can't wait to see you up there! Prices are low and the snow is high, so let's go have a...

Located just a short drive from Boise, it boasts breathtaking views, well-groomed slopes, and a variety of terrain to suit all skill levels. The lift system is efficient, minimizing wait times and maximizing time on the slopes. I particularly enjoyed the night skiing, which added a magical touch to the overall experience.
The resort’s staff are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, Bogus Basin is affordable compared to many other ski resorts, making it a fantastic value for families and groups.
