Griff's Valley View RV Park is big rig friendly. We stayed in a 45' 5th wheel for a month and had no issues navigating the park. The park is a few miles off I80 or I35 and has no road noise. Everyone we interacted with at the park was friendly and helpful. They have back-in and pull-through sites throughout the park. The sites to the front of the park are a little narrow and are designed for shorter rigs. On the other hand, the sites in the circled driveways and farther back in the park are very long and spacious from side to side. Most of the sites we noticed were level. They do not have picnic tables or firepits, but all sites are on a cement slab and have amazing grass areas. The water quality is excellent, with good pressure and flow rates. They do not have a dog park but have plenty of places to walk your four-legged friends. There is a small playground for the kids and fantastic walking areas around a lake. Unfortunately, they do not have a pool, but the walking paths and views make up for that. The restroom and laundry facility was spotless and always stocked. The park adheres to quiet times and is far enough away from roads, making this a very tranquil place. The park is located minutes away from many restaurants and shopping. This location has good cell service. We used an amplified antenna, and the following speeds were observed. AT&T 7 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up. T-Mobile was 10 Mbps down, 8 Mbps up, and Verizon was 20 Mbps down and 7 Mbps up. If this review was helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks

We will NEVER be able to say enough wonderful things about Griff’s Valley or thank them enough. We were meant to only stay for 1 week, which was a very reasonable price for all of the amenities. 2 clubhouses, laundry on site, workout equipment vending machines, pool table, shuffle board, beautiful and CLEAN bathrooms. Our 1 week there turned into 8 weeks because we had to replace our truck engine (long story but the first new engine was bad so we had to get two new engines..). We were not prepared to winter camp but Griff’s made sure our water connection wouldn’t freeze by attaching heat tape and a cover - we are incredibly thankful for that! Carol was incredibly accommodating as I kept giving her days that we would possibly leave (dependent on our truck) and kept adding on time to our stay week after week. The section of the campground that we were in closed on December 1st and we had to move to another site. We still didn’t have our truck back so they towed us to another site (along with our two kayaks and bike!) and made sure we were safely set up again. We couldn’t ask for a better campground to be broke down and “stuck” at! Close to everything you need, great area, Uber is available, Instacart and DoorDash deliver. Our dog LOVED that there were big fields around the campground to run on her 50 foot leash to play ball. THANK YOU FOR BEING A STEADY PLACE TO STAY FOR US AND ONE LESS WORRY! ❤️

This park is nice, but only if you are a long term stay with a big rig in the rear of the park. We have a medium travel trailer and were placed up front. The site had a concrete pad, yet it was full of debris. Leaves, stones, pieces of asphalt and a 2 inch wood screw which, thankfully, we missed by an inch. The water hook up is very difficult and almost below ground level. You must get on the ground to connect. The electric is also low. Low enough that our EMS could not hang straight. Lastly, the sewer connection is not a standard hookup for any RV park I have ever been in. It is an 8" PVC pipe with a screw cap. When we questionrd this we were told just let the hose hang in. Did not as the sewer would then have been open to the neighboring site. There is no picnic table. There is no WiFi. There is no office. Not recommended for short term stays. A large percentage of sites are clearly occupied by very long term stays. Multiple large propane tanks, full size grills and smokers.

I was a bit hesitant to write this review, but after having seen that there were several other people having gone through what we went through, I thought that I should share my experience as well to lend validity to some of the other reviews on this website.

Last year and just yesterday, my spouse called Griff's RV park in an effort to get information on their ammenitites and campsites. My spouse informed me that she spoke to a woman who was just very rude and lacked any customer service skills (this is the same woman that has been mentioned in previous reviews). She kept cutting her off and not letting her finish her questions.

After hearing about my spouses experience, I called Grif's to find out what happened. The same lady answered the phone. I conveyed my spouses experience to her and she denied how she treated my spouse over the phone. This woman became very defensive and just appeared to lack any integrity or honesty despite what other people have written in their reviews regarding the same type of behavior. Shortly thereafter, she hung up on me.

If this is how she can treat a VET who is dying as a result of his service to this country and the people of this country, she can treat anyone the same way...and it appears that she has according to some of the other reviews on this website.

Why would anyone want to give their business to this woman when she exemplifies the utmost rudeness to potential customers...most importantly, how has she been able to maintain her business for this long?

As a VET, I have escalated these concerns and hope to get a resolution to this issue so that no one else has to be subjected to this lady's lack of customer service, integrity, honesty,...

We just left Griffs yesterday after a 9 month fantastic extended stay from January - October 2016. I cannot say enough great things about our stay here. They have 3 beautiful ponds, lush grassy landscape which is upkept and large level concrete sites for the larger RVs with plenty of room between RVs, you almost have a little yard area for yourself. There are two clubhouses both have laundry facilities and bathrooms, the smaller one has a little workout area with some gym equipment and the larger clubhouse has a game room, banquet area with full kitchen and outside patio with a grill and an underground storm shelter. They are open year round and there is a lot to do in the area including a bike trail that runs right past the campground and a playground area for kids. Wifi and cable aren't provided, however there is a third party that hosts wifi for $30 a month. There are no fire rings or picnic tables but you can bring your own fire pit and camping chairs. It gets VERY busy from April - October so make a reservation as far ahead as possible - regulars often reserve a year in advance and they have a wait list during those months for anyone looking for an extended stay. Carol was a great host, I don't like reading these negative reviews here about her, she is a very nice lady and made our stay in Des Moines very enjoyable. We were here for work and although they were fully booked starting April she put us on the wait list was able to get us in for the entire summer. We had a great time, your campground is beautiful and we...
