ROSE'S LODGING — Hotel in Boonville

Please do not stay here!! Save yourself from the headache and terrible service. We reserved a room here in February through Booking.com for the Peddler's Jamboree. We called 2 weeks ahead of time to verify as we would not have a vehicle in town. The gentleman we spoke to confirmed our reservation. We arrived into Booneville the day of our reservation via bicycle for the Jamboree and called Rose's to verify once again prior to riding our bikes there. The "manager woman", who refused to give us a name, was very rude stating we did not have a room reserved and this was like the third person calling without a room. We informed her we had reservation confirmation numbers, email, etc and she hung up the phone!! We called Booking.com and they informed us that ROSES overbooked! Not only to us but multiple guests. I called back to inform the "manager " what Booking.com told us and she cut me off 5 times while talking and then hung up on me. I called back again to make sure we would not be charged and she said " Have you paid anything yet? Well then don't worry about it. Good day. Click. Hung up again. This is by far the short story. This lady verified that they overbooked multiple guests and hung up on two customers total of 5 times. What SERVICE! We proceeded to reserve a room at Comfort INN and happened to drive by ROSES LODGING and there were a total of 3 cars in the lot!!! Were informed by both bus drivers for the shuttle that they do not stop at Roses even though they literally drive right by it on the way to other hotels, they wouldn't give a specific reason. On a POSITIVE note we made memories we will never forget dealing with the craziness of ROSE'S Lodging. We'll talk about it for years. Thanks Crazy Rose's Manager! I just hope no one else has to deal with...

I rented a room for a month as I waited on a house closure... the very first day I spent over an hour sweeping and Clorox wiping everything. The bathroom trashcan had trash in it,  and there were clumps of hair and dirt not only under the bed and the dressers but in the open areas of the floor as well. There was grimy sticky stuff on the surface of the fridge and the entertainment center. It was evident that the room had not been cleaned before I got there. I was given one towel and there were 2 huge holes in it. Two extremely flat pillows a very thin blanket that if you removed you would see dirty stuff all over the sheets. That night I took a shower, and there was literally dirty brown Water standing. I felt like I was back at basic training showering with my sandals on  so that I wouldn't get any foot fungus... I went to the office to see if they could come fix it and the lady gave me CLR and a plunger to plunge it in case it happened again! There's also a very strong poop odor that comes after you run hot water for a while. A few days into my stay, I found a baby ringneck snake in my room. I went to the office to see if they could come remove it as I do not like snakes, and the guy didn't even remove it he had someone else staying there come and get it out. The walls are paper-thin. You can hear the TV from the next room and smell the smoke through the walls. So you constantly have to keep your air conditioner running even though it says change filter and you can feel and smell that the filter needs changed. It was an extremely horrible experience. And I understand now why they have no refund signs...

A very charming simple hotel. I was informed that the hotel is under new management/ownership. The family that ran the hotel was very nice, and not pretentious at all. Genuinely hospitable, a pleasure to speak with. I was told that they were finishing major renovations.., explaining the simplicity of the room., which was very clean. The bathroom was small, but very nicely done. with modern fixtures. The shower was rather refreshing , nice flow and plenty of hot water.. The bed was comfortable and i slept well. The fridge and microwave came in handy. The temperatures were in the single digits (5 degrees average) and the snow falling for days, but I was nice and toasty. there were no draft s and the heater worked great. . I was able to park right in front of my room and the parking lot was well plowed, making it easy to get food or go to the casino.
