Did not want to pay $100 + to sleep at name brand motels in Borger. Saw this Budget Inn on T A with no reviews, so took a chance sight unseen, because of the $45 price quoted when I called for a reservation. So glad we booked over the phone and prepaid because this motel is really clean and comfortable, and was almost full when we arrived at 9 pm. After I booked by phone, my credit card was immediately billed, so beware if that's not to your liking. There are about 30 rooms all at ground level, which we like because we like to park right outside our door. There were lots of pickups at this Budget Inn when we arrived, and a few blue collar types were enjoying a beer outside their rooms. Very safe atmosphere, just people getting respite from the heat. If blue collar hard-working types scare you, this place is not for you. This is NOT an upscale place, but it is VERY clean, large room and large bathroom with tub/shower, comfy queen bed, wi-fi, large mini fridge, (no coffee machine), microwave, steel door with dead bolts. We were in room 121, in the rear corner, very quiet! Woman at check in was friendly and efficient, and her adorable tween daughter helped out. A C worked great and was quiet. Laundry room and ice on site. No 'free' breakfast. Liquor store located conveniently next door! Phone # is...
Read moreI work all over the US and am in motels more than I'd like, so I've seen it all, but I am here now and have nothing but good to say. It's family owned and operated, their weekly rate is amazing, the rooms are small but extremely clean and comfortable. The owners go above and beyond to accommodate. The mini fridge isn't tiny and holds a week of groceries at a time easily. They allow me to cook in the room and even supply me with dish rags for my dishes. My wife mails me packages here with no issues. I give 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ where I'm sure others might give 1 or 2. But without a doubt, if I could find a place of such everywhere I went...it is where I would stay. If your a traveling worker, it's a goto. If your vacationing with the family...it's...
Read moreThose 5 star ratings are fake as hell. The rooms are barely clean. They smell like cigarettes which was confirmed by the ashes I found on the floor. The door looks like the cops recently raided it as the dead bolt doesn't work. There were about a dozen flys in the room which I had to kill before I laid down to bed. The walls have what appears to bed knife markings all over as well as holes in the wall. I've stayed at way cleaner hotels for $45 per night. If I hadn't drived for 14 hours straight I would have left immediately but that will have to wait until tomorrow. If I survive the night. On the plus side, I might be leaving with more than I came with...like an STD. Allow me to save everyone's life and stay away from...
