After spending 5 nights here there there is just no way I could do this more than a 3 star review. It was the 1st camping trip for my nieces and and they loved the campground (3 parks to play on, streams to catch frogs and minnows, and swimming), but there are a few things that I just can't get over. The bathrooms are extremely run down. Only one stall has a lock on it and your knees touch the door when you are sitting. The drinking water at times would be Brown and very silty. We had to filter it so feel good about drinking it.. The swimming area and so called "beach" was very overgrown with some sort of vegetation in the water that would tangle your legs and the beach itself was not very Sandy, with how much they charge I am surprised that these facilities are not at all updated, including a playground with loose boards. The excessive amount of golf carts from other campers (mostly from RV area campers) which constantly patrol around your site feels a little weird especially in the tent camping area you have no privacy if people want to be up in your business. There did not seem to be much respect for quiet hours or any enforcement by management for those rules. We had neighbors who were up most of the night 2 sites over from us. It was cool that there was a DJ on Saturday night but I did not expect it to go all the way until 11pm right next to our tent sites with young kids. The music didn't even get turned down it was blaring the whole time with lots of drunken adults shouting. One more thing is that they advertise a fenced in dog beach, this is extremely misleading as there is a fence on 1 side and in the water section it is roped off, but it is very much not fenced in as our dog could easily run away if he wanted to. No problem with this except the fact that on the website it is advertised as fenced in. We appreciated the affordable boat rentals. The general store had helpful supplies with reasonable prices and had no issue with friendliness of staff as seen in...
Read moreSo my wife and I had lost our home and were forced into buying a camper and needed somewhere to pull in and stay for 4 to 5 weeks so that I could recover from me haveing to have surgery on my neck to remove my cancer on the 17th of September which is tomorrow to be exact. Now like I said 300 dollar camper needed some things done to it but it didn't look bad at all just needed cleaned up. The staff there was kind curtious at first. Knew our situation and were accommodating we paid 240 dollars for a week and was scheduled in for another week as I went to pay for our scheduled were we were told we could not stay because the new owners told them no we had to leave that was on the 11th of September because they were shutting down so others called to see if they could reserve a lot and infect they were not closed down so I talked to the new owner face to face and even with our situation surgery and being no place to go and haveing the money to pay for our time that was scheduled we were made to leave and only gave us few hours to do so because our camper was an eye sore considering we were put on a site in-between brand new 50,000 dollar campers there were also 9 other campers that were told the same thing with that said they took a woman's dream and there turning it into a true camping nightmare and the lack of human compassion will show in there future cadaver they had no idea who iam and the influence I have in such community's as such as this I hope for there sake they can get past the reviews I have already posted with all social platforms and camping world reviews the have taken A simple beautifully family camping experience and are gonna turn it into a circus attraction for the members that gave been there for years and years and destroy a woman's dream that was...
Read more2 stars. I’ve been going to Ridge Ranch with my family since 2016. We loved it at first but then started noticing some disturbing behavior by the owner over the last couple of years, and not just with us personally. The guy seems to have a serious control issue. The speed limit is 5 mph., we get it. This does not mean that he has the right to tear someone down for a first time offense of doing a whole 8 or 9 mph. Most campgrounds are 10 mph., and people are used to that. A simple and friendly reminder to his customers would suffice. He chooses not to do this however, and instead excoriates his clientele with unnecessary stare downs, finger pointing and stern language. I’d say his terrible, Nazi like customer service was the worst of it but, it’s not.||||There is only one shower for the entire campground still. The camp store is almost to laugh at and the water is the worst water I’ve ever seen at a campground and, I’ve been to a lot of back woods campgrounds. Atrocious water!||||We have decided that our last trip there was our last trip there. Because of the owner’s behavior, the other 8 campers that came with us will not be returning. I’ve also put out a blast to camping groups I belong to with my experience. I got about 50 replies saying that they never go there, or go back.||||Customer service is everything. I get there are kids there but, there is no need to treat your customers...
