I reserved condo 2B for my young adult children over the Fourth of July. I grew up just south of the resort. We were staying at my dad’s home on North Long Lake and needed extra space. My eldest daughter checked into Train Bell and she said the woman was very unfriendly. There were no towels and no soap in their condo so my other daughter called to ask for towels. The owner, Jane, answered the phone. She was very rude to my daughter and she said that they do not provide towels. I rented the condo through Airbnb and under “Essentials” it says towels and soap are provided. Since I rented the condo I called and Jane answered. I asked her about the phone conversation she had with my daughter and she flipped out. She kept interrupting me, asked me the ages of my children, and hung up on me. Her husband then went to the condo and screamed at my children. He tried to kick them out, but my daughter stated that they had not done anything wrong. He then threatened to call the Sheriff. My children replied that they were still staying. My children were in tears. They have never had anyone scream at them and talk to them the way the owner did. Jane in the meantime called me back and apologized for hanging up on me. She still kept interrupting me, but I managed to tell her I was not in any way attacking her when I called. I paid $3555 for five nights. On the Airbnb site Train Bell says that checkout is 11:00 a.m., but in the condo it said checkout was 9:00 a.m. Guests were responsible for sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning the shower. This was an awful experience. We have never experienced...
Read moreFirst off I’m not even sure where to begin. I guess I could start by saying this has been the best experience that I have ever had before at a resort and I’ve been to a lot of places. the people here have been wonderful. I love the rustic cabins .they are very clean and comfortable and all the amenities that are needed are there for us. And very friendly people and just fun all the way around ,and there’s so many things to do. There’s no way that this place could get a negative review..I feel wholeheartedly that everyone should experience a stay there at least once in their lifetime. I felt more at home and comfortable at this resort so much so that I stayed for several days and absolutely loved it. It also has the most beautiful sunset and sunrises that I’ve ever seen. I cannot explain enough how wonderful this place is and believe me when I say it’s a resort that I will book again and again , But don’t take my word for it , go there and experience it for yourselves ,it truely is an amazing place to make memories and spend time with the ones you love . the owners and staff are awsome . Whatever you need they are there. If you love the water this is the place you wanna be .. thank you train bell for everything you’ve given...
Read moreWe are from Germany and spent two weeks in Minnesota und Wisconsin. We spent one week of our summer vacation in Train Bell Resort. It was a wonderful week and it was very difficult to say goodbye. We were accommodated in Cabin 6. The decor is a bit out of date, but it was cozy and we felt comfortable there. Wi-Fi is offered free-of-charge, but it is in Cabin 6 relatively weak to receive. The view of the lake was outstanding. The new owners Pete and Jane had just taken over the resort a few days ago. They are very friendly people. Also the whole staff made a really good job. We especially enjoyed the family atmosphere of the resort, because it has only a few residential units. There is a lot of opportunity for relaxation. Many tourists had their own boat with them and used it a lot. We had a lot of fun with Stand-Up paddling and kayaking. Our seven years old son could play wonderfully in the shallow water. There are many family attractions and some very good restaurants around the resort. Too bad we live so far away, otherwise we would love to come...
